Or, you forget about all that and you do this: 132 to 550 is "x" to 100. You multiply 132 by 100 and divide by 550 and you get your answer: 24%. In other words you apply the rule of 3 method of calculation. No decimal involved and no need to deal with a fraction. Ex: 3 to 4 is "x" to 100: 100 X 3 / 4 = 75%.
