Schemes within schemes and wheels within wheels. Much more interesting a campaign when each PC has their own agenda and motives which are hidden from the others and conflict with each other. Full marks for setting this scene up and using it well.

@boardgameswithsimonandsome1783 I should have time stamped it but near the beginning, when they where showing the pdf of songs and things, the DM said something about a Cleric in the game. The others joked about one of them being a cleric in secret. It could have been a slip by the DM, or it could have been a misunderstanding. I am choosing to think it was a slip.
