Just started watching again for the 3rd time. The pacing is so brilliant that an hour goes by so quickly. Everything about this show is top notch. It pulls you in within the first few moments and doesn't let go until it's all over. The writing, the cinematography, the acting. All on another level.

How could an actor make "walking" so interesting?!!!..Tom Hardy is just on another Level.

He's a real bad ass. I stumbled onto the show by accident and it was really captivating. Dark and sometimes violent but the way the mix history with the story line is really excellent writing. And the other actors and accesses are equally engaging. It really conveys the grimy feeling of the late 1700's in England.

One of the best shows I've ever seen. Brilliant and masterful performances by so many different great actors, terrific writing, sets, costumes...I've watched the series five times, never tire of it. Hopefully they will write and perform a sequel! Come on, Hardy boys!

Not so much angry. More like determined. Extreme tunnel vision to the point that everything that doesn't serve his purpose is completely irrelevant to him. Besides family of course. But maybe blood and his roots are what drive him to begin with. Lorna is what's left of his father. Nootka Sound is what's left of his mother. He planned to bring Zilpha along as well. The rest of his crew are the same as Brace, loyal servants but not family. He will dismiss them when he doesn't have a use for them anymore.

The show is awesome but it would have become popular on a larger scale if Tom Hardy's character was nerfed down a bit, most of the time ppl seemed to have praised him rather unnecessarily like it seemed forced, also the EIC and the crown seemed too dumb to be real. In short the plot armours were too obvious. But the concept is different so they could try for a second season but this time lessen the overpraise and plot armour ...

I watched this series when it first came on and saved every episode on my tv for a year through dvr, waiting for a new series. This show was better than most everything on tv and a great actor was the lead. What is the hold up on the new series? I see that it's been approved a while back.
