It’s a true shame this never got a 2nd season. While it was a little strange it seems most people only like the kind of strange that doesn’t make them think too hard.

The show was well received, but Tom Hardy’s schedule and the pandemic held up production and then his wife gave birth to their 2nd kid. So, I think show biz is on the back burner for now.

This show is brutal, and I absolutely love it. Just recently rewatched the first season, and can't wait for a second. Read N article not long ago that said they definitely have enough for two more seasons if they get the green light. Here's hoping.

This portrayal of Hardys is extremely accurate. Many British men who were stationed in Africa especially in the Congo and the East, when they came back, most were feral and changed

Awesome series, one of hardys best performances. Speciallyvas hecand his father came up with the concept of "a man returns from Africa after years away" and that was it. Brilliant stuff!

Anyone else notice Tom Hardy's affinity for brass knuckles? I say this because even in Taboo he has karambits, the knife equivalent of brass knuckles

Correct. When suddenly he uses it (karambits), with only two or three accurate cuts, he destroys muscles, tendons and femoral artery...medical accuracy performed in a brutal fight...simply brilliant

Not so ironically, many karambits have a retainer ring that projects far enough out to be used as a knuckle-duster.

I remember watching this on HBO back at release, and I watching it again now on Netflix I realized how heavily they have cencored this scene. At the very end of this scene, you originally see big guy's belly gorged open and put on display, but here they just film over big guy's waist. Just something I noticed. Amazing show, and I have also been waiting forever for season 2 lol.
