@@beasthaven1571 Greatsword is like the Kazuya of Monster Hunter. The gameplan is usually simple. Aim for the weak spot, charge up your attacks, and deal massive damage. But the execution and the learning curve can be FRUSTRATING. Greatsword is so strong only when the player knows how to use it against the monster. Meaning, monster behavior and moveset knowledge is necessary to become skilled with it.

Hey Asmongold 👋, I'm from the 3rd fleet (MH 3). Watching your videos makes me happy. Almost every comment you made or learning curve was me so long ago. Seeing your reactions to the cutscenes and making it through each challenge reminds me of how I fell in love (and hated) the monsters in this game series. Your stream is a living reenactment of the memories us veteran hunters share. So I just wanted to take the time to say thank you for playing the game thoroughly, and not like some random 30 minute stream. You gave it a chance and we love it. Have many happy hunts.

I have always liked the discovery part of monster hunter, stopping for a moment to explore the main area, finding the steam works or melding pot make the game so enjoyable to me, and I’m proud of how far Asmon has gotten with the Greatsword, trying a new weapon is always a new learning experience that takes time, as someone who learned a bit of Charge Blade then Greatsword and renewing with SNS with full Geralt Gear in Master Rank.

@@user-iy6fe6ne8r when you tackle, you don't regen stamina during the animation. not only does side slapping from the tackle let you regen stamina, tackle>slap>roll is just as fast as tackle>roll so you get to sneak in some extra damage before rolling. you could also slinger burst out of a side slap to control where you're facing. the best part about slinger burst is that it goes straight into tcs. if you ever find yourself in the same situation as asmon in 2:31:36, a quick slap into slinger burst could let you hit your tcs.

Ngl it was near this point in his skill development that this video made me internally say "Welcome to the club, it feels good to hear ya talk about how much fun this game can be!". The radobaan fight is so low relative risk medium reward that it encourages you to throw your face (and shoulder) into monsters as a GS user.

Can't wait to see you do furious rajang and raging brachy. That's where the challange starts to sky rocket. Safi would be cool too if you don't mind a 6 man raid. But lord help you if you go into Alatreon or Fatalis.

@@XerosigmaZIf you can defeat Alatreon and get that gear boosted, you can defeat Fatalis. For alatreon, I recommend Kjarr Kulve Taroth weapons with their critical element along with concentrating damage on the horns. If you don’t break them before he transitions to his opposite element , start over, you aren’t gunna live! XD

Loving how Asmond iis playing the game... it reminded me how much I loved playing the game the first time around. too many content creators thats too much high that nothing makes them seem to enjoy the game and only complain how easy stuff are, how meh things are. when Asmond goes wide eyed and gets happy with the small things we don't really enjoy anymore. Thanks Asmond! happy memories on your Hunts!
