You're making my itchy feet flare up. I'll just have to wait until we travel to the York Peninsula next month for a family reunion. The Stuart Highway must have been a luxury after the Oodnadatta track. Hubby and I definitely would not handle the track physically, unless we took 2 weeks longer than you. Yes, we do off-road but at snail pace.

Have a great time over on the Yorke! If you ever decide to tackle the Oodnadatta, there are a bunch of free camps all along ... you could definitely take your time if you wanted to 😉

With almost no towns out there we were able to see the International Space Station almost directly over us last year. The reflection from it's solar panels make the ISS stand out at 5am. Yes, we left Coober Pedy at stupid o'clock in the morning to make Tennant creek that night. We might have flew up to Darwin but it took much longer coming home.

The night skys are amazing in the outback! That's a big drive from CP to TC in 1 day!

Loved this video, thanks for taking us along the track. I have done the track twice way back in 1986, so next year I will be doing it again with my son. Looking forward to revisiting many of the places I saw when I was only 13yrs old. Great video.🥰

Rode my bicycle Melbourne to Adelaide, Wilpena Pound to Arkaroola west to Leigh Creek north to Marree and up the Oodnadatta Track. Was a bit disappointed that you didn't mention the mound springs, Coward Springs. I travelled down the road towards Cooper Pedy but turned west to Arckaringa Station, Painted Desert and Copper Hills Station and eventually hitting the bitumen at Cadney Park Roadhouse. Also rode to Uluru and Alice Springs. Lived in Alice Springs 10 years cycling all over Central Australia then cycled to Darwin.

Good on you guys for getting out there and doing it! Yes, it is a tame track but I'm sure you'll find more challenging roads ahead. So good to hear you correcting your self re the max tracks/ treads. Everyone calls their recovery boards max tracks regardless of what they have!

Thanks mate! It was a fun drive & a good warm up for some more challenging tracks. Hopefully we won't need the *Recovery Boards* then either 😉
