I remember when I started out fishing and i didn't catch anything. Then this guy that was fishing next to me caught a 20lb catfish and he gave it to me. I was excited even though I didn't catch it. He even showed me how to set up my rig and taught me the polamor knot.

Giving fish away reminds me of when we’d troll for walleye on the Great Lakes. We’d catch a fair amount of freshwater drum in the process. We’d keep them in the live well & give they to people fishing the pier @ the boat ramp.
