Just ordered this off walmart $50,hope the blade guard is metal unlike others that have plastic

Not a bad looking little saw. What is the blade size?

It works pretty well too. It's a 4.5 inch blade.

I have 2 of these 6.2 amp and 5.8 amp. They make better paper weights than saws. My 6.2 amp started smoking and it wasn't even under load?!?! The 5.8 amp stalls under the slightest load. This was very disappointing because I heard some negative comments about these and figured they were using it wrong. Trust me we will eventually see a decline in the want for these beautiful "cars" with bad engines.

I'm no Tim Taylor so I'm looking for a video to show me how to "lock" the blade guard. He kind of rushes through the answer to this question, so let me say that you have a little lever to expose the blade while in use and then when you're done using it it just goes back into place making it safer for non-Tim Taylors to stay safe.
