Have you ever wanted to add a fourteener (14,000 foot elevation trail) to your repertoire of epic adventures? Then watch along as we take on Mt. Antero in Colorado, a mountain with a trail that goes straight to the top. This trail isn’t for the faint of heart, with tight switchbacks and long drops, but once you finally make it up, it gives you a feeling you can’t get anywhere else. Plus, there’s some great alpine lake fishing up there while you’re at it. We put three completely different rigs to the test, a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, a Toyota 4Runner fully kitted out, and a new Ford Bronco, they all make it up the trail with ease. #4Runner #FordBronco #Overlanding

On this episode, host Collin Coates brought along his friends Matt Thompson of 3D Offroad and Chris Hefty of Hefty Fabworks to enjoy this trip up the mountains. Colin drove the trail in his 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 with the Extreme Recon Package and 37-inch Nitto Recon Grapplers, Matt brought his 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands Edition on 35-inch Nitto Trail Grapplers, and Chris drove his 2015 Toyota 4Runner on 38-inch Ridge Grapplers.
This being the Colorado Rocky Mountains, the weather can change in an instant, so it’s important to keep in mind the changing weather conditions and not push it when the weather isn’t in your favor. You can always just stay put for a few minutes while a rainstorm moves through and get back going once it passes. Then you can get back to conquering trails and enjoying the view!
