I put a lot of thought into my constantly evolving gear that I keep in my truck. Every year or so, I do an updated video on the gear and mods in my Toyota Tacoma's interior. Some of these are just geared towards every day type use, while other items are geared more towards 'overlanding' or general preparedness. If you're looking for a high quality tool bag I'd highly reccomend the Atlas 46 Yorktown KOH tool roll. I have the regular Yorktown and absolutely love it. It looks like it should fit nicely where your current bag resides.

Hey Mike you influenced me to buy a Tacoma. I had a new Chevy Silverado but I never bonded with it and like I told you I had a FJ60 and an SR5 many years ago. I am going back over your videos and trying to figure out were to put my Yaesu FT-70R 2 meter rig. Not much space for it so I guess I may have to go for something like what you have. Thanks again for the videos they have been very helpful. Project overland is now under way.

LLOD so I was watching this whilst on the toilet... typical fashion, and I looked up to see one of my towels I used to use while on deployment in Afghan. Check out micronet microfiber towel. Awesome space saver and multiple uses. And it dries out within 10 minutes after use! I love mine and have had it for years. Try one out. And no I’m in now way sponsored. I had a slow leak on my motorcycle last summer while on the road and ended up using tampons to catch the oil.

Tampons are a good first aid item too. Think about it, they’re made to absorb blood. So, if you get a serious wound you can use a tampon to pack it.

cool tip for using light bars on back roads. On my truck, I wired a button on my switch panel that ties all my lights to my high beams, so turning my high beams on and off turn on and off everything. Or I can turn that switch off and the lights work as normal. super useful.

You have my dream truck configured in my dream way. I daily drive an 85' GMC K20 that I take in the Mountains alot (live in Colorado). It's just a single cab with a bench seat but I have always have alot of stuff with me. Its second hand from my dad so alot of it is from my dad. I have mechanic tools, emergency camping and survival equipment, first aid, and a CB Radio when offloading with friends. Its not as much as you obviously but I dont have much room. It's all stored between storage space behind or under the bench seat and in a weather proof locker in the bed. No defense items like guns or pepper spray but I do have a random super cheap machete that my dad found for me and I keep it in reach if I need it outside the vehicle in a pinch.

Installs, installs, installs, show us the installs , if you do it yourself ,do videos on what toolsyou used, what panels you removed, holes you drilled grommets used, routing of wires, fuses, circuits , ect ect....do major install videos man. Totally off topic, I took your advice and got some Delta Stretch pants and Gamut Plus bag using your code. Mike, check out the bags from Atlas 46. They have different sizes as well as tool and socket rolls. I love set; and they come in tacti-cool colors. My 2003 Taco was totaled a couple of weeks ago and I just got a ‘19 TRD Off-Road so I’m re-watching all your truck vids for the right stuff, since you’ve already, graciously, done the research. ;-)

I think you should bring more stuff. I *think* I saw a couple of cubic inches completely void of say, another dog leash or ??? BTW, just because a space isn't utilized doesn't mean that it is "wasted". In other words...It is not necessary to fill every cubic inch with "stuff". I think there is an economic theory that explains this type of psychological behavior. I enjoy the channel and appreciate the work you put into it.

I rock the Husky Liners in my 19 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. I also have the ICON stage 5 lift and 18 in Fuel Shoks on Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I would like to get into WEEKENDERLANDING in the near future as the truck is still relatively new and would rather start getting into this when it's almost paid off. BUT, i enjoy your videos and its giving me great ideas on what I will need once I do!!
