I just installed the Borla S Type cat back exhaust on my 2023 Toyota Tacoma 2.7 4x4. Technically this exhaust does not fit the 2.7 because the V6 Y pipe extends past the crossmember where the 2.7 engine the pipe stops several inches shorter before the crossmember. The pipe that bolts to the Y pipe that has the upwards bend in it will contact the crossmember on the 2.7 due to the pipe on the back of the catalytic converter is shorter. There are two work arounds, one is you can heat the pipe where it contacts the crossmember and make an indent in it to clear the cross member but that will reduce the 2.5 inch pipe in that area, the second work around is you can purchase longer rubber exhaust hanger isolators and turn the muffler downwards on the right side a little bit. You will need two 4 inch isolators one for the front muffler mount and one for the left rear muffler mount and you will need a 5 inch isolator for the right rear muffler mount. You will also need to replace the rubber isolator at the front of the catalytic convertor with a 4 inch rubber isolator as well. That will give the clearance from the crossmember. You will also need to order the extension pipe that is required for the 140 inch wheel base, the extension pipe is the correct length needed to connect the muffler to the first pipe with the bend in it. I went with the second work around using the longer isolators to get the clearance between the first pipe with the bend in it and the crossmember. This system sounds great on the 2.7 Tacoma and I did not lose any low end torque and actually picked up some power in the mid range which helps acceleration. I have a Banks Pedal Monster on my Tacoma that eliminates the throttle lag so this Borla S Type cat back system is a real plus on the 2.7 Tacoma. All Borla would have to do is extend the first pipe that connects after the catalytic converter the same 16 inches of the extension pipe that is required for the 140 inch wheel base trucks so the bend clears the crossmember and they could have this same exhaust available for the 2.7 without any modifications. I am very satisfied with the Borla S Type cat back exhaust on my 2023 Tacoma 2.7 4x4.

Love the garage ceiling honey comb lights....on the borla exhaust, does it matter if is for a short bed or long bed, i have the long bed, and videos i seen this installed are short beds

But how is the spare tire, kinda left us wondering if it’s burning
