Tacoma is a city in Washington state, on the banks of Puget Sound, south of Seattle. It's known for the Museum of Glass, which has works by renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly among its exhibits. These include installations on the Chihuly Bridge of Glass. The Tacoma Art Museum has a strong Northwest regional focus. The Washington State History Museum features hands-on exhibits, plus a vast model railroad.

I filmed this like 2 years ago, so really it changed that much in 4 years. Cool place I was just randomly driving by and decided to go walk around

3:04 부산 해운대의 수변공원 같네 해운대에 Sea Cloud라는 이름의 레지던스호텔이 있는데 타코마에는 silver cloud 호텔이 있고 왠지 반갑네요. ㅎㅎ

How long has that waterfront public area been there? I've lived in Tacoma most my life and never been down there. but do recognize the buildings from when i would drive over the bridge in and out of Fife. I've been to the other Tacoma waterfront many times though. but doesn't look half as nice as that area. at least the last time I was there a good 5 years ago. moved to another country about 4 years ago.

Hilariously it's built right on top of the old smelter, with all that arsenic, copper, lead poisoning. People paying a lot of money to live on a former superfund site. It popped up about the time you left.

You used to have to honk your car horn as you'd go into the tunnel under the old smelter smoke stack there - because the curve at one side made it impossible to see any oncoming traffic! They knocked down stack back in 1993 and built the "Point Ruston" seen in this video right on top of good ol' Asarco! They did a load of cleanup, and I guess the soil is all covered over now, but back in the day the pollution was bad!
