My experience has been the same. I have several models of tactacam and the original took the best pictures. It seemed to me that when they started offering the HD version of pictures for money, the standard picture quality went down. Several of mine get condensation on the lens behind the plastic cover and will be foggy until it dries out, which makes most of my morning pictures useless. I will unfortunately be looking for a different brand in the future. I will say it is a budget option so it does well for that, but they are expensive enough that they shouldn't leak or have transmission issues like they do.

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA bought 2, 1 broke but no issues getting it replaced. They have been good cameras. Pictures I’ve been sent by tactacam owners were much clearer. I’m told the memory card can make a difference in that but I don’t know a lot about that. I have no reasons to not buy covert again. You can bundle plans. $15-16/month I run 2 cameras up to 5000 pics

Well the memory card doesn’t effect the image transmitted to the phone from what I’ve been told I do want to test some covert cameras

I have 12 of the Tactacams and the quality is all over the place. The originals took good pics but started taking pictures ever minute or so with no trigger movement to be seen and ended up taking pictures nonstop and just killing the batteries. The SK was a joke, The XB's are iffy whether they will take a picture or not. I have had two of them catching the same trail and sometimes one will trigger and catch the deer while the other one doesn't. The Pro model seems to be doing a good job, but I only have one of those. The data plan is seeming to be a little better than most of the other plans with other cameras. I have several Moultrie cameras which take good pics, but their plans cost to much. My best camera is a Browning Pro Scout, but I don't much like the software they have not very user friendly, but it easily takes better pics and video than my other cameras.

Yessir have a review dropping on that browning Make sure to catch our exodus render & Blackgate R4G reviews both are top notch in our testing easily stand out amongst the 7 brands we tested this year

You need the latest app update to share. The person you want to share with needs a tactacam account. In the app, tap the house at the lower left. Then up top you will see three options. The one on the left will let you share.

That’s not what I meant, I meant sharing data amongst cameras like exodus & Blackgate’s do which saves the user a ton of money a month

I’m not familiar with the other cameras. The picture count is shared amongst your cameras. I have 10 tact’s. During the season I have each of them on the 5 dollar plan. With each plan you get 250 pics. Those are cumulative and shared across all your cameras.

Before I sold mine (after this review) that still was not an option for my cameras so still unsure how y’all were running em that way but regardless these cameras don’t fit our bill if you will Wel stick with Blackgate/exodus

I didn’t expect the issues that you have. I have a g2 and my complaints would be a slow trigger, the pre programmed check in time, and mediocre pic quality.

The images that you get in the app, are compressed images, and the better quality photo is what saves to your SD card. You can set the mega pixels of the photo that saves to the sd card in the app for the camera.

Sharing is super easy. Put in email address of someone that has a tactacam cam account go to shared photos and they can see the pictures.

That’s not what I meant, I was told I could share the data amongst the cameras which I don’t think is a thing with Tactacam’s Like exodus & Blackgate you can share data throughout cameras saving a lot of money each month

I have had major issues with 2 of my 7 cameras taking on water and burning through batteries. When I sent them into REVEAL for repair, they deemed them to be damaged beyond repair and destroyed them and inform me they would not be returning them, without my consent or knowledge. Even though they were six months old, they also refused to honor the 1 year warranty because they stated I “submerged” them, which is ridiculous. Horrible customer service, junk product and I will never buy them again.

Yes they started out good but they seem to just thrown QC and flat out quality away in their newer products

If you get the pic in HD you can zoom and not that bad zooming in. You know what your getting in 150$ cam tho and for price just hard to beat.

Wait for our Blackgate after season review theyre $20 more but I’m currently running 4 cameras unlimited for $15 a month total and stock pictures you can zoom as far in as you’d need with zero pixilation they are lights out cameras packed full of features just not many know of them

Do you need to have the $60 plan before you can share data with the smaller plans or can you Share if all cameras are on the lowest plan

Got 4 tactacams all with solar panels now and they are all reading 100%. They are not the best cameras i will say....pictures are always pixelated. They serve the purpose im looking for. Patterning deer times on public ground

My panels SUCKED and I made sure I had them in optimal position to collect sun They just don’t fit my needs is all they are decent cameras Have you found out how to share the data among cams?!? I was told they can? But I couldn’t find how

My one I had rigged with the panel always read 100% on the app but I never got pictures which I thought was weird so when I was spot stalking by it I checked the camera itself and it was dead, as I stated in the vid I left it figuring the solar panel would get it back rolling and it did for one picture then died again lol

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA i havent experimented with the sharing at all. My SK with the panel was a waste of money but now that i have the big panel on it it works like the rest of my tactacams.....one thing that drives me nuts is the detection range with all of mine are bad like 10 yards max. So i have to set them on trails where i know the deer are passing right by them.
