Now while yes, Messi carried the team, I think koeman and Messi are both at fault because Messi drops too deep to do much in possession. I think he needs to stay higher up field like where firmino operates. But he drops so deep, almost like a box to box would. If Messi wants to increase his attacking output I think he needs to be closer to the goal, and maybe let someone like griezmann or de jong so the playmaking. Its not like barca lack quality, they have top top players, like griezmann, coutinho, Messi, dembele, de jong, jordi alba, I think it's that everyone plays for themselves and not in a system, because the coaches are thought of as basically, well idiots. Ronaldo and Morata each had center backs marking them so Ramsey and Mckenie can always run deep and have a chance in a cross .. Mckenie scored the same way vs Torino in the match before this one
