Chelsea need a creative player who is able to break lines with either dribbling or with a pass because teams are applying the same tactic against us over and over again.

We weren’t playing with either a LW or RW he set up 2 attacking midfielders (Kai/ Mason) who were playing narrow and no width

Chelsea in this match mainly looked to free their fullbacks and have them as their main source of attsck from wide areas, they freed them with space by drawing in players which would open up gaps in between pockets of space.

Potter will still need some time to find the best formation and his preferred team so we might be seeing more experiments in the following games

formation is not the case. but, the way they find half space. look at ManCity. i never see the formation of theirs because its only on paper. but, in game, they know to to build up and how to find solution to attack

Chelsea are still poor when compared to the technical level I want them to operate at. Watch city play, to press them is difficult because they will always keep the opponent in double minds , because if you vacate a position to press them,, some one else is there to receive the ball from the position vacated by the opponent. But Chelsea here is so easy to cover there passing lanes. Why not make the full backs to be secondary midfielders to help create more chances out wide? The variation of the triangles by Chelsea team is so basic.

That midfield is very weak. We were lucky it was Palace, if we were playing against a better side, we will be losing the match. We rely on Kante so much.

Nah not really. The mistakes are still there. The only think you can say is that players might be played in their actual positions but there is no improvement in performance wise, especially from those off-form like Kai and Mount. It's still early obviously and it would take potter time but I won't say there is improvement

@@udbz7264 Mate obviously there are tons of areas that need improving but you can't tell me this performance away at Palace was on par with the levels we saw vs Leeds, Southampton, West Ham (lucky win), Everton and Leicester. Other than the Spurs game, this was probably the best performance we've seen from Chelsea this season. I personally thought Kai and Mount were quite involved in this game, though Mount should have scored. The combination play is improving and we're actually getting shots at goal from good goal-scoring areas.

I don't think so. Nearly all starting players were in poor form. Just won by luck - even Potter didn't think Gallagher would score.

@@stephencheung9514 Higher xG mate, Mount had a couple good opportunities to score. I'm not saying Chelsea played outstanding football but the level has definitely improved since Tuchel.
