To help you be prepared to step into Amirdrassil, I go through everything a tank player needs to know for the first 8 bosses on both normal and heroic difficulty, including covering tank swaps, positioning, and other important tank responsibilities. I'm a new player and after watching this has been extremely helpful. My team was able to get up to Fyrakk this week, and even though we did well, seeing your POV has shown me a lot of new ways to be more optimal. You're definitely going to be my go to for tanking from here on our, thank you!

Just swapped to vdh a month before season 4 for m+. The guild I am in asked me to tank raid for s4. Now I am cramming to learn all the tank mechanics. Your vids have been helpful. Thanks dude. Keep it up!

On smolderon another guide had them leave a narrow path on the outer ring and when the tank is dropping the debuff you run along that in case you get targeted for a puddle.

Kind of depends how much space you leave, because the outer ring is prime area for ranged to bait their own puddles and spread to make it easier to dodge tornados on heroic. Honestly didn't seem like a big deal to always have the 2nd tank just run a bit further, especially because it's also not too scary to just run through fire as a tank if needed.

Thanks for this video! And sorry I keep asking about the addons/weak auras, but what are you using for the boss ability timers middle-left on the screen with the red bars?

No problem! Not a bother at all, that would be the BigWigs addon, though you can get Deadly Boss Mods to look similarly if you prefer that.

It's the "cotank" part of Reloe's Amirdrassil pack (though you can put your own debuff stacks there if you prefer), I'll link the full pack below just note you'll need to remove a bunch of stuff if the only thing you want is the debuff part of it. wago.io/Amirdrassil

On Tindral - is there an addon or something that shows where the platforms are? We downed Tindral, (on normal) but part of the raid got lost trying to find the platforms. We finally had the bad fliers hitch a ride with others (slowed us down), but being able to see where to go would be helpful... like a TomTom Arrow on screen to point them the right way or something. Thanks for the excellent guides!

Definitely seen some people in our group go the wrong way initially as well haha. I haven't seen a WeakAura for it, but the flight direction is static for both platforms (North to go from P1 to P2, South-East to go from P2 to P3) if that helps!

bro u should release this way earlier during ptr phase or something. i cant find other tank pov while a guide at the same time. cause i have tank alt but i take them seriously too. good stuff.

Glad you liked it! Main issue I have with releasing it in PTR is how relatable it is to live, because PTR tuning is historically very different than when the raid actually releases. Just want to make sure I can give you guys the most accurate info possible!

for council the tank should be able to take both hits on heroic since the empowered hit is the same as mythic rashok physical hit. (obv in mythic you need to swap, but doling it this way heroic can make it easier)

What addon do you use to track the other tanks debuff? That was an issue for us first week.

That would be part of Reloe's Amirdrassil WeakAura pack. There's quite a bit in there so keep in mind you may need to remove some auras if you only want the debuffs! wago.io/Amirdrassil

Fun fact if you have 2-3 evokers in your raid on igara you dont need to taunt swap as they can just cleanse the bleed.

We wiped a bunch on Larodar because we didn't taunt mid-charge and kept dying. This is gonna save me so many wipes, thanks brother (but release this sooner lol)

Glad I could help, was mostly just waiting for our raid day so I could get footage for all the bosses, but I will make sure to tell my guild they need to pick it up and kill everything faster :P

Is that a weakaura that shows the boss abilities and co-tank stacks in plain text on your screen? If so, how can I get it?

All the text based stuff is actually just my Bigwigs addon, though if you prefer you can get Deadly Boss Mods to do the same thing. It's a WeakAura to show the debuff image though!
