Have you figured out how to get a Home Assistant script to switch off the TRV but have it reset at the next automatic change? I am going to try tonight to see if setting a low temp is better than switching it off

Hello, thanks this is a really useful video. I would welcome some additional advice: At present I have a 3rd Gen Nest thermostat hard wired to a 2018 Worcester Combi boiler and the actual thermostat dial control is in my front room. This is where it gets confusing: I want to control the temperature in each room. Therefore, I am considering purchasing several Tado TRVs and also the internet bridge. My question: if the Nest thermostat control (in my living room) is set at 18 degrees but the TRV in my bedroom is 22 degrees what happens? I am concious that as the Nest control is directly communicating with the boiler so once the living room reaches the temperature set by the Nest dial (in this case 18 degree) the boiler turns off. Am I correct? or does the boiler continue to heat my bedroom until it reaches the desired temp (in this case 22 degrees). Hope I’ve explained myself clearly. Grateful for any advice.

Is your radiator connected good? We put the knob on the warm water which goes in from the top of the radiator

I have a nest which was left behind by previous owner. Loads of radiators which all come on at same time so I’ve had to turn individual ones off in unused rooms. Is it possible to run the trv’s without integrating them with nest? I.e just set temp from nest but have individual rooms/bathrooms controlled through tado app

Hi. Can i use tado smart valves on radiator to control every room temp. without a room thermostat? But with tado extantion kit to turn my pump for heating on and off? I hope you understand what i mean :) No room thermostat. Only valves on tadiators and the extansion kit (connected to boiler, or in my case a pump)

Any reason you went for nest as main thermostat over the tado one. Wouldn't it play nicer with the TRVs?

So the horrible noise of tado motor is alright? Opening and closing every little while. The price and the noise from the motor of the unit is really not alright.

Surely this is an all ir nothing. Ie: If half the radiators in your house are not fitted with these smart valves then, ONE room decides it wants to be heated thanks to the smart valve in it... but now all the radiators without smart valves are being heated because of that one room. Doesn't sound very good/efficient.
