Let me jump on the bandwagon real quick by making this specific love triangle in a historical setting. We all know that D-2 rocked. And Daechwita is a bop. The video is a masterpiece and it will spawn endless edits because Yoongi looks so damn cool as a mad king. So while I've seen a lot of these videos in the past weeks since D-2's release, I decided to add my two cents. I would like to believe that this is a fresh take.

Well basically. Jennie performs at the palace and the mad king Suga is completely enamored by her. He forces her to become his woman...as can be seen by him forcibly putting a ring on her finger. But she can't refute him because he's the king. Fast forward, she's part of the king's court. There's a festival of some sort where she rides through the city on a palanquin. Taehyung sees her and she him, and it's love at first sight. After that Taehyung, who is part of a dancing troupe, comes to the palace in hopes of seeing Jennie again. The king clearly impressed by Taehyung's skills, invites him to be a part of his court. While Jennie looks on in trepidation because she has feelings for Taehyung but she can't let the king know. So she's distressed by it all. After that Taehyung and Jennie have this sort of flirtation going on. They plan on meeting one another, but are still hesitant because of the looming threat of the king. The king, already suspicious of what is going on right under his nose. Spies on the lovers while dressed as a commoner. They're caught. Suga sentences Taehyung to die. Jennie alarmed by this, breaks a vase to cut her wrist. Scarring herself to say to the king that she doesn't belong to him (If you've seen Scarlet Heart Ryeo, you'll get it) But her plan backfires because the King is equally angry at her as well for her betrayal. And as punishment to both lovers. He kills Jennie in front of Taehyung. Taehyung, seeing Jennie lying dead on the cold ground, gives up his will to live. So when the time comes and the king attacks him. He doesn't fight back. The final shot of the doomed lovers, dead on the ground.
