Your story is very similar to me ^^. My parents are really just connected by familial love cuz they’re just awful to each other, and my dad just makes my mom so sad a lot of the time. My mom even said multiple times that my dad tricked her into marrying her, and she’s only happy that she was able to get me and my brother. And a lot of the adult influences around me were either divorced, that or one was dead, or left. Even our closest family had been getting abused by her first husband and then got married again and even her second is slightly abusive just not as bad as the first. Even with my friendships they would just end like that it felt like everyone would just leave me because of us moving a lot and I even developed social anxiety because I was scared of people and getting attached only to be hurt again. Movies just always felt so fake because I knew, this could never exist. So it just discouraged me from ever being a relationship or anything. Then TK came along and I found out true love is. True love is loving despite the all the odds, even when the whole world is against you even when you’re at your lowest, they’ll still be there through it all. That’s love. And I thank them for teaching me that. They are my standard in all my relationships. Whatever they are, even if they don’t last forever, I hope they cherish what they have, and know that they’ve helped people like me to have hope. So no matter what happens I’ll always support them. 💜💚
