1986 short documentary about Taekwondo. In those days, Taekwondo was a solid traditional martial art and dynamic combat sport. Far cry from the foot tag games of today, or the flimsy "sport" poomsae it has deteriorated to, or ridiculous attempted gymnastics of today, mostly breaking fake boards. In the old days, as this film shows, the boards and bricks where real enough, the attitude serious, everything was powerful, focuses and dynamic. I hope there are enough dedicated masters and practitioners left who care, and who can restore Taekwondo to the deserved respected place that it once occupied in the pantheon of martial arts.
