Why are they wearing their cups on the outside? I've never understood that. The first time I saw this was over 30 years ago. Dude was a black belt and groin shots were allowed and guess what? His opponent (one of my seniors) kicked him in the groin, the kick went behind and under and nailed him in his balls. My former instructor would cup check us randomly and if you weren't wearing it under your Gi, push-ups. I've watched a few videos and I'm very impressed with the students, but the cup over the clothes thing is still a pet peeve for me even after over three decades.

Oh shoot, I had no idea any sport allowed groin shots, sounds tough. This is for regular training, as we have to put all our gear on in 2 mins otherwise pushups, and there is no time for everyone to get their groin guard under their uniform. In competitions though, we do this when there is more time. Thank you for your insight 🙏

@@burpyTKD If you dont Kiap and show "intensity" yeah you ain't getting nothing with real judges at comp... I also don't know which one is you but I do like side kicks a lot... to me the side kick is the TKD jab... the equivalent of a boxers jab.. everything comes from the side kick.. in my experience.. I would blade that stance way more and spam that side kick tremmle... which will open up your hook kick counters and round kick counters.. but if they rush you stiffin up and staggers them back... I sware by the side kick in a very very very bladed stance.. see if you like that next time.. I did love yalls hip feinting tho.. that was world class

I also lean my head way back out of range.. don't know if that's proper but i still have teeth so .. ya know lol

@@tusanity hey that’s good. This one is neo and Felix, two of my sparring guys and they got some good head kicks in. You’re right about the side kick, I will also work on that
