Remembering when this young man was first discovered by SM and joined SHINee.. his vocals were minimal. Yet with the coaching of an amazing singer Jonghyun.. and Taemin dedication to improve his vocals through hard work within the several years. This is something that shouldn't be downplayed, but Admired and Applauded. I have so much respect for this young man.. with everything that he accomplished after going through so much heartache.. then being left on his own, once his SHINee brothers had to do their military duty. He continue to push forward.. not just his dancing... but his vocals and keep the reputation of SHINee strong in all of his concerts, along with joining SuperM, plus becoming a Solo KPop Artist. Show or Educate me of another KPop Idol that did this or could do this? Now that his SHINee brothers have returned... and Taemin can hopefully rest a bit. The next step is to see them in a comeback stage. Taemin... You're Amazing... 10 fold... No Questions or Arguments on this side of the world. BRAVO TAEMIN... BRAVO 🌟🌟🌟👏👏👏

@G-MA Laigo I do agree with you... once he was called "tone deaf" and now no one can beat him in his vocal stability while singing high notes live during hard choreography...

I remember once.. he said one of his vocal coach before told him to give up on singing.. and now taemin is so good at singing... that vocal coach should ashamed of himself for saying that.. because doesnt see taemin diamond from singing...

i love taemin's dancing. he's always so great and everyone knows it. but this- it's why i'm a taemin ballads enthusiast. his vocal ability is as amazing as his dancing and people should really pay attention to it. those high notes??? damn. ps. 8:14 every time i watch that clip from sirius, it makes me emotional. 😭

I like Taemin's vocals. Really really like it and I think he can't do this but it turns out he is very capable of filling in Jonghyun's part who mostly use high notes.

No. Taemin and Jonghyun have always had similar voice colors, but Jonghyn had a much more powerful voice and lungs of steel, he was an outstanding and empathetic vocalist with a natural sensitive interpretation that immediately resonated with any audience and was instantly distinguishable thanks to his vocal power. The sensitivity, the interpretative quality, the volume, the fullness and the power of Jonghyun's voice are unattainable for Taemin.

@@xyzop8415 not really, they have similar colour, and the same resonance, the only difference is that taemin has a better mixed voice, support and resonance and better at belting than jonghyun, who has better upper register (best head voice in kpop actually) and a better lower register than taemin. In terms of vocal colour they are naturally similar, and their vowels are almost the exact same. Taemin is more of a power belter (G4-B4) than a falsetto oriented vocalist like Jonghyun
