i have a question nd im so worried, abt the tascam 07dr im so interested in buying just bcs it has ab nd xy switch, but i've seen many ppl complaining abt ambience recording outside, did u faced any interferences issues while recording outside ? or radio frequences thing ? i was goin' to buy the zoom h1n but unfortunate it does not have the switch thing

I'm sure this has happened to several people who would never publicly admit it. It reminds me of when I "fixed" my friend's "broken" rear door that just had the child safety lock toggled in for YEARS

I use my dr-05 to plug in a condenser lav mic which needs power ..makes a great (almost) wireless lav mic which fits very easy in your pocket..

So the DR-07mk II is like a small head binaural mic? Close to 3D i said small head, because most adult heads have two ears 6-7 inches wide? Compared to the Tascam. Thanks for your video .very helpful even if you were just sharing why you have everlasting but you say why you like Tascam…

Not sure what to hunt for? I thought field gear be devices you'd step out the door n track out to open nature's sound effects? Then load to HD drive to edit?

So funny, I'm wearing Cinpusen UG-01 headphones. the USB dongle has two settings, one for USB wireless and one for Bluetooth wireless. Accidentally switched it to Bluetooth and that threw me off for about 4 days. LOL

Hey I love your videos! I have been looking to buy an interface and mic for my home studio(I'm just getting started on my journey as an aspiring musician/producer) and I herd you mention that you can use these as an interface too. So i got to thinking maybe i should just buy one of these bc i can record my guitar, use it as interface, and get in to feild recording. Do you think that it's a good idea, or should i just get an interface and mic? I am also looking to keep it under $200 for now bc well Covid hurt my pockets. PLEASE PLEASE get back to me I can't find much about it online

if you had something like a circuit, could you record into the Tascam at the same time as you are recording audio through the built in mics? looking at one for my portable setup

Try the Zoom H5. It has better dynamics than Tascam, and it also serves as a usb audio interface you can take on the field, exchange mics.... (much smaller, rechargeable batteries and useful multitrack .... try this with a focusrite scarlett... or tascam) It sounds great 👍

I've never been thrilled using the Zoom field recorders. Zoom converters and pres sound dead to me, there's no depth, and the build quality is flimsy. Battery doors fall off. I've been shopping for a Tascam field recorder. I'm gonna buy a 40x. I've always loved the Tascam mic pres so it's got to be better sounding than zoom stuff. I'm glad you figured out your Hold Switch problem :) Pleased to meet you!

Wow, lol I saw the title and knew it came from that post right away, I was laughing about it 😂 really interesting to hear about! I liked the video and sorta the randomness to it almost if that makes sense. I just got a lumix g7 like you have and I'm trying to learn about it and audio and music more and I'm really enjoying it! Does anyone ever use the lock button?

The lock button is useful if you do carry it in a backpack or soft case. It prevents accidental switch on and finding a dead unit when you need it.

@@Taetro Definitely learned quite a bit, thank you. Ended up getting the Tascam Dr-05x. Testing it out today. So far it's super easy to use, and I think will come in quite handy for run-and-gun stuff that's coming up. We'll see if I can contain myself, and just stick with the one haha Thanks again! ✌️
