Brings back memories of yester year. I decided I could raise chickens or whatever else and trade for milk. My utmost respect for farmers period. The dairy farmers I grew up around didn't take time off unless the cows were looked after by someone they trusted implicitly. To take a week vacation was a really rare event. Kudos.

Hello Taylor. You and Brent have an awesome farm and absolutely great at explaining the whys and how you do things. Taylor, you really go to the extra effort and thoughtfulness in your videography. Your channel should be mandatory viewing in schools. Not just Vo-Ag classes but for all students to see how food is produced.

Thanks for letting us tag along while yall work the ladies! Pressure washing will wear you out very quickly, especially anything overhead!! Even though yall are not organic, the dairy industry is missing a great PR opportunity to put together a short documentary about caring dairy farmers and they're well-kept ladies! Stay safe and hydrated....fall is not too far away (at least that's what I tell myself to push through hot/humid days)!

😁Hey, Great old style milking video . This is how we milked cows in the 60s until we built a dugout parlor witch was much more better. A wand Extension would make the washing more better . Low price about 10$ single or multi kits 30$ and up on AMAZON . Thanks

When you're going to do a lot of work overhead directed upward with a jetwand, get a rake handle to tape onto the side so you can hold it against your hip or into the bottom of a belt pouch or even use a long strip of cloth as a sling to support the lower end of the rake handle.

I think of this methodvas "Wisconsin style" milking. Our cows came into a six and six haringbone parlor to be milked. With all holstiens at one farm and all jersey cows at another, we relied on numbered ear tags. We put ankle braslet on those who had to be kept from the tank.

Hi Tay, just a support comment for your channel. Another enlightening insight into dairy farming. I Wonder how many viewers know what a 5.30 start entails. It's ok to a certain extent if you live on the job, but you have to get up then travel. Makes it a long day. Didn't like to ask, but seems like Brent suffers with his knees. But.... he gets on with the job NO COMPLAINING. Another great thing about this channel is there's no whining or moaning, so "note to world " job to be done, so whatever, it's got to be done. Cows don't milk and feed themselves. To YOU and Brent well done, ( all day 😊😊😊) Thanks MARK uk

Hay Taylor, you might want to buy a 3/8 pipe and extend the presser washer so your trigger hand is waste high and your control hand is maybe chest high. G’day Taylor. My 88 year old retired farmer (yes sometimes they do retire!) dad has just called me over to the computer to watch you tedding hay. It’s not something he’d heard of - perhaps our summers are hotter here in Australia so there’s not the need to do it. Anyway we’re now watching more of your videos and are enjoying them immensely. That’s with the exception of this milking one, at least where my 87 year old mother is concerned anyway! After thirty years milking cows every evening while dad was out cropping, one day mum gave my father an ultimatum “That’s it! It’s either me or the cows”. Thankfully he chose her and she never had to milk another cow. When she saw us watching your milking video she said “Tell her to get out now!” So as a dutiful son I’m passing on her message.

Hey i was just thinkin, you said the cable for the Kubota came in. Use the old cable as a snake. Tape the cables together end to end (not over lapped)and use the old one to pull it through. Keep the tap thin and spread it out like a foot. I dunno what kinda set up its got, but if there is some kinda chunky mechanism on the side thats in the cab, cut it off then tape it and pull from the engine side. Check for grommets on the cab or fire wall, dont wanna ruin those. Also ive used wd40 on the cables if there are tight grommets, slips'em right through. Just a thought, if you already figured to do this... Disregard.
