It's a mixture. There are songs that are available in other versions of Taiko as well.

I currently do not have an idea withe the Xbox PC version as my country does not have support on Xbox and it's hard to buy it unless I use a game pass.

While I'm not sure myself, these songs are only for single player mode. I am not sure if both you and your playmate should have both DLCs in order for you to play, but I'm leaning on no, since my experience on Ranked Matches is, you only get matched with people which also bought the DLC.

To get songs that are not in the base game, you should subscribe via the Music Pass subscription service.

those that haven't played all the levels at least once might not get it. basically, the stars show how hard it is compared to all charts of a level. in this case, easy is rated a level 2 since it's not as hard as many other songs on easy. normal is rated a level 1 since it's barely any tougher than easy, and is therefore easier than almost every other normal chart. oni is rated a level 1 considered that it's just the right speed, and doesn't have anything that's particularly tough. some examples of the star ratings: Oni1 = Hard2~4 = normal5/6. hard2 = normal3/4 = easy5. normal7 = hard4/5 = oni2. normal1 = easy2/3. hard8 = oni6/7.

Unfortunately, yes. Other songs can only be unlocked by the monthly online events. For the Rhythm Festival, you just need to subscribe on the Music Pass. No need to buy DLC. :)

And for the music pass if I got it could I download the songs and have them offline forever if I even stopped paying for the pass? @@Cuhryzwrmz For the monthly event songs, you cannot get them anymore. For the music pass, you can't play the songs offline even if you stopped paying for the pass. That's why it is a subscription service.

Unfortunately, Taiko Switch ranked matches have stopped, so there's no way to unlock them now. 😞

Yes. They categorized the songs like "Let it go" as Anime, since Anime means Animation, or anything that is animated. Meanwhile, He's a Pirate is a movie song.

Joubutsu 2000 is a song available when you are subscribed to the Music Pass.

It is only available in the game "Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival".

I think it will depend on the NSW unit that you use. When I bought the game on its early stages, the game was in Japanese, then later, it turned to English. This is despite me using a Japanese account.
