Thank you for the video. I have tried on 3 different days to do this little job and STILL haven't been able to get it to release from that front clip. Today was nice and hot so I thought the lens would be more pliable but still no good. What a horrible design by KIA.

Sometimes you have to give it a good whack, but be careful you don't crack it. It should slide backwards. It is a bad design, but I guess it's a cheaper option for them to put a screw to keep it in place.

@@classicrewind2715 Sorry but I totally disagree, but thanks for the reply. A good old fashioned screw, like all of our old cars had surely couldn't be more expensive AND so much easier to replace things like bulbs.

Random question ? Have you had to change ur back break lights wires cuz of burnt bulbs 💡? If so tell me why cuz I’m stuck trying to figure out if they sell that piece alone or if I have to replace to whole back light holder

Noticed a glitch in the video at the point of popping it out. I wiggled and finessed and pulled and i couldn't get it out.

Sorry to hear that you have a hard time. Sometimes it's very stubborn. Make sure you take the screws out of the back that holds it in place

That is a common problem. Sometimes they are very stubborn. I could suggest using more Force.. but I'm afraid it will crack. So try using some Gorilla tape on the lens and pulling the tape, using that as a handle while you are tapping that front part of the lens where it slides onto the clip.

Question for you : The rear blinker is not in that assembly, right? I'm use to seeing the turn signals blinking up high, but I see them below in the bumper area.

It's the tail light assembly. That is where the blinker light is on the Kia 2017. It's not up high that would be your third brake light. If I'm not mistaken I hope this helps. All the best

I bought it on ebay.. It was a lot cheaper, but I had use the original brackets.

Video effectively worthless for Sorento, not sure it's even close If a task isn't applicable to any item identified in title, just don't bother mentioning such detail in title or by audio. The majority of audio is poor, and while the pins used on light assembly are "similar" across models and maybe related brands, the details of such attachments aren't really the same. I had high hopes for this as other videos aren't as complete in identification but there is no guarantee the technique on one brand/model will function for any other let alone all. Past that, there is no mention of model years and socket details easily change per year for these assemblies just as he bulb styles may vary such as to LED or other filament design.

Thanks for leaving a comment. I understand that the video was not able to help you. The Sorento is very similar to the Kia. The vehicles listed are all similar..you still have to remove two bolts or screws. Push the side of the tail light to remove it from the fascinating clip. All the best
