A broken zipper on your jacket or bag is not a problem, you can fix it yourself without resorting to the help of a tailor, you only need a plastic bottle, a glue gun and pliers!

One complaint: I watch a lot of your videos but for some reason this one triggered the algorithm and I just got reccomended about 20 other 'fix-it' type videos, most offering to show me how to make my very own zippered pouch. Lol Ive been sewing since I was 10 years old. Trust me, that was long before the 2000's. My sewing machine still has a foot pedal. Apparently you typed the word 'zipper' and KZfaq got all flustered and giddy. 😂 I'll stick with you thanks.

What happens with to plastic cap after you've washed it a couple of times? Does it stay secure?

Fabric glue is made to withstand the washer. I just wouldnt tumble dry something with plastic on it but no reason you couldnt line dry it

You don't fix clothes with glue and plastic... you have to wash them sooner or later...

Thats what fabric glue is for and you dont have to dry it in the dryer. Line drying makes clothes last longer anyway and is better for the planet

Tailor's don't tell you about this"trick" because they don't cheap work. It's not a trick it's just a bad idea from someone who couldn't do the right thing.
