Tails Adventure Remake is a Fan Game Remaster of the original Game Gear classic, created by mechakotik.

The original itself, Tails Adventure, is a Sonic the Hedgehog spin-off adventure game, released for Sega Game Gear in 1995. Unlike classic Sonic gameplay, Tails Adventure is a slow-paced platformer with focus on solving puzzles, backtracking and collecting items, much like metroidvania games.
This project tries to remake Tails Adventure for modern platforms, adding 16:9 widescreen, high refresh rate support, improved physics, controls and enemies' behaviour. It is written in C++ and SDL2 without using any game engines / frameworks. The current demo includes the first 3 areas - Poloy Forest, Volcanic Tunnel and Polly Mt.1.

Now, for those that may not know, the SAGE '23 trailer dropped just yesterday, and aside from there being a lot of notable games worth looking into come this September, I noticed that this fan game remaster in particular was part of it, so seeing as it was already posted for the public to check out, I'm not entirely sure if I might revisit it at some point, UNLESS, there's a major update difference.
Still, it's nice to see someone showed interest in remastering a great Game Gear title like this. I'll definitely keep an eye out for any future updates.

And the best thing is now that I have a powerful gaming pc with Windows on it I can play all the games I’ve ever wanted to play! Which also means I will also be apart of SAGE this time! If I’m being honest this is probably the first time in a long time that I’ve actually been stoked about SAGE, but it’s for good reason!

Luckily, most of the games in Sage are 2D & sprite based, so you can run them even if you have a low end PC

I like this fangame of tails's adventure and this is just like I want the two-tailed fox to be a hero like his buddy sonic!

The fact that the game was developed without the use of engines is really impressive and adds a certain merit to it as well.

This is pretty amazing. Ngl, if the creator wants to redo the graphics, I might be willing to do some of the sprites. Also, nitpick, but when Tails uses the Insta-Shield, he should curl up into a ball while it's in use. I do feel like the Insta-Shield could make the game far easier than it should be however. Like he definitely should not be able to use it while flying or grounded. It being able to break stuff is also something I think that makes it a bit OP. It shouldn't replace the bomb in many situations. It being able to damage bosses is also a bit too much imo.

So glad to finally see this game improved a bit and back on the channel. When I re-watched older uploads, I was specifically looking for this one because of how much I enjoyed that upload at the time. Now that it has a remake, it's much worth checking and out and playing it. Great walkthrough Jaypin!!
