Wish we could add you to our list of Top Overated KZfaq dudes but we've only ever heard of you via your click bait titles that appear to present FIT as a bad brand that you must be paying Google to serve. Admittedly, we haven't watched any of your videos, but the fact that you have us listed as Overated and a Brand to Avoid when we've spent 25 years building a reputation as one the premiere bike manufacturers globally and the ONLY BMX company in the world that has been solely rider-owned and operated for 37 years (not to mention the only current USA-manufacturer of BMX bikes on any scale at all) tells us you're talking out your ass. With hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers the world over and almost 40 years of supporting and building/bettering the BMX scene - we know a lot more about BMX than you do Bobo. If anyone in any of your comment sections has any questions as to why certain bikes are designed or spec'd or priced the way they are, feel free to hit us up directly. Here or on our Fit or S&M socials/channels.

Read the comments guys. I’m not the only one with the opinion and if you were smart you’d set your ego aside and realize that you’re venturing away from what once made for truly great to make a quick buck. Don’t end up like blockbuster

There is a difference between offering a legit bike for a caliber of rider at a price beginners and their parents can afford and making shitty bikes... and we have always made the best bike available at any given price point. It's easy to trick a bike out - and we did when we went the Wifi Complete etc circa the mid 2010s, but the truth is, people don't want to pay for that and beginners don't need full cromo... plus their parents don't want to pay for it. We make a full range of bikes and components for all levels of BMXers and their budgets. We've always said, buy the best bike you can afford. And if you are lucky enough to be looking for a complete bike in today's BMX market - you're probably going to get one for less than the company paid to make it - so buy the best one you can. But to accuse of ego and making a quick buck? Sounds a little hypocritical wouldn't you say Mr. "I know more than the Industry staples" as you spew actual nonsense for ad revenue? You have Fit/S&M all wrong dude. Let us know if you need a history lesson.@@Dougsterbob

Fit and s&m are related? This is like when i see a brand that offers “affordable” products sugar coated as cheap while next to that product they offer something a bit better and higher priced. Meanwhile the other brand next to it only offers the good stuff. Makes me feel like fit is really out there to grab any penny they can catch no matter what while other brands just offer you the good stuff. Seeing fit on the comments literally crying is wild and really goes to show you that their products cant even speak for themselves so they have to get their panties in a bunch. Basically fit is the temu wish version of s&m and they are proud of it lol

I enjoy your opinion for 2 reasons: 1. Your speaking from a outside perspective which is easier then having the solid facts from the source which makes your process that much easier. 2. When you do have facts, paper trail and actual confirmation on why certain companies have to do this and that it will make sense.. Now my opinion which we all know gets me in trouble more then others is communication with brands is key.. You need help reaching people I can get you pointed in the right way. You’ll be surprised on how they handle things internally and why things happen the way they do..

@Dougsterbob So the problem with your analysis is that you are seemly only looking to the mid-higher end product to be available/sold. Don't get me wrong, I am all for a few more $$$ to get a better quality product, but companies need to cater to different income bases to sell their products. When I worked at the shop, if we only carried bikes that were $500 and above, the shop would have closed in under a month as we may have sold 2 bikes. I grew up and worked in a Bike shop in the 80s' when Freestyle was born. Got to hang out with the Pro Teams when they were at the shop and when I was not doing all that, I had to put together and sell Bikes! Anything from the low end Hi-Tense Steel Models to the $600 High End Team Models. As much as our shop sold the $250 and $350 ranged bikes for the time, we also had to have the lower end models that were $150 - $200. Haro, as much as I love my 1988 Team Model (Which I still have) was $600.... But we also sold the Haro FST which was about $200, was NOT full 4130 Chromoly, but for the area the shop was in, was much more affordable. Also my high end Haro like most (Low and High Prices Model) had one feature that appeared in time, a crack where the Seat Post/Frame meet. Didn't matter theater you spent $200 or $600, if you rode hard enough, it appeared. I did not see you bring up Hoffman Bikes, I mean, you can go into any Walmart (Which is one of you arguments that you can find Hyper in Walmart) and find a Hoffman Brand (Lower End) bike, yet you did not mention it. Is there a reason. I know your video is for "Overrated Brands". Your argument aside from an a $50 Tire (Agree there, I can get a $50 for my car!), but most of your argument is that they are not the higher quality. Again, refer to the above... Not everyone can afford the $400 frame, but maybe for $300 they can get a lower tier complete bike and get started in the sport.

I disagree with you about Cult. First off, when I was looking for a mid-level bike in 2022, you recommended the Cult Control, which I purchased. It was between that and the Kink Whip and I went with Cult. You know why you recommended the Control for the price/quality and I’m very happy with it. The collab with Vans to me is great, because I’ve loved Vans since I was a small kid. The tires and the seats are rad and so are the grips. I also disagree with your comment about the Cult riders. Dakota Roche is a great rider who kills it day in and day out. He’s hardcore and there’s no two ways about it. Panza isn’t the only Cult rider. As for Fit riders, Tommy Dugan is a mind blowing rider… so, I gotta just disagree on those. Also… to lump Cult and Fit in with that third brand just makes me sad.

I definitely agree that Cult has poor quality stuff. I rode the Vans tires for a while. 40 dollars each, the traction and strength was not there at all. Which really surprised me because of how squeaky they are when landing 180s. But if I barely turned at all on concrete or Skatelite they’d loose traction immediately and I’d slide out. They also stretch way too much. I tried to inflate em from 80 to 90 psi and they got noticeably bigger. So much that the tire became too wide for the frame. They’re supposed to be 2.4, but when inflated it would stretch to almost 2.5. Doesn’t really inspire much confidence in the structural integrity of the tire. (They’re supposed to be rated at 110 PSI). I now ride the Merritt Brian Foster tire, which I’m quite pleased with. I can’t really say anything about FIT because I haven’t bought anything from them. I also definitely agree on Hyper. I think that their marketing is quite questionable. I personally ride the Wizard frame, solely because Scotty’s bike looks awesome. And the geometry fit my needs. So far I’ve been happy with the quality of their professional parts, but I do think the actual Hyper brand should go back to focusing solely on pro BMX. Great video :)

I think to an extent it's just like any other industry with smoke and mirrors and money making being paramount to anything else. What is advertised is often not what it seems. People want to pay for what they have come to believe is the best brand and all those brands compete in a saturated market so it can be hard to make a decision. Even asking your friends who ride bikes as most will be biased to their own favourites for whatever reasons. in reality I think most of these brands are having stuff built to very similar quality standards. High prices do not always guarantee high quality. Just check your bike is full chromoly and the geometry suits you, then go for your best colour scheme with bits you like for the lowest price you can. You're going to swap out parts later on anyway I guess

Im going to be honest, I was a fan of Fit since the Series 1 came out and then I had about 3 more Fit frames after the S1 but when I saw that they were putting out completes that little by little you could notice less sought after features, such as going from a full chrmo frame to a frame with just chrmo dropouts and less brand name parts for the same price as a full chrmo bike from other brands, my respect for Fit started to fade away with no brakes on, just like my bike is set up. I know inflation is real, but inflation wasn't a factor when they started price gouging to take advantage of people

Your biggest complaint about brands is the “hype” but you fail to realize KZfaqrs are a big part of “hype” within bmx. It’s not all about manufacturing and companies, a lot of these companies are contributing to the culture of bmx and not just trying to make a buck. Hyper has no intention to contribute to the culture, they are trying to latch their brand onto contest riders to get exposure then sell shit bikes to kids.

If I would avoid 1 it would be wtp/eclat, they don't care about bmx they have bad customer service and they don't treat their riders as well as other brands of their size.

So I trying your recommendation 3 bikes but I have more request than you offer. I would like a 24in street with gyro and decent seat. Most all 24in bikes I see are just rear brake cruisers and short vert bars.

Uh, collabs are always overpriced because you have two P&L sheets worth of overhead to support. They will always be overpriced just by the function of it being a collaboration. Do you understand how business works? Apparently not.

I would look into the size! If he’s 13, he’s likely too small to comfortably progress on a 20.75” (the suggested height is 5’9 to 6’

I rode BMX back in the days and now my daughter wants a BMX bike, and when I checked the prices on some... over $1600 I just couldn't believe it, who buys this shit, it's the most basic stripped version of a bicycle, it's a frame, forks, handlebars and rims, how can this be anything over $500 at the top, regardless of what materials are used. I ride a trail now, and have a CANYON Neuron 6 that cost me $1800, overpriced as hell, but there is about 90% more bike there than there is in any BMX, and the BMX is $1600? Give me a break. Luckily I found a $380 Kink BMX that my daughter liked in the local shops here. A serious question who buys $500+ BMX bikes, I'm out of the loop of the BMX culture, but seriously the prices are insane on some of the bikes.

Also I looked at that Hyper Jet Fuel at Walmart and it almost fell apart just from my gaze... to my surprise and fear it was much lighter than most older cheap Walmart BMXs I seriously would not want anyone riding that giving them false confidence, at best it'll ride from point A to B don't count on getting back to A tho lol
