In this lecture we walk through the very basic reasons why Pakistan is constantly in a cycle of under-development. In the next part, the series will explain fractional reserve banking, and introduce some of the radical ideas for the economic development of Pakistan.

I listened to the whole lecture, it was good. A little advice. Although such long logical discourses require long time and attention, your purpose should be to aware the local masses. And frankly speaking, the local mass is on tiktok. Keep making long videos on youtube but to drop atomic bombs, use tiktok and urdu.

Balanced and brilliant as always. In fact, as a PTI supporter, I daresay he correctly pointed out at how the underperforming capitalists of Pakistan were unhappy at how PTI may strike down their attempts at siphoning capital away from Pakistan. The PTI govt has been the only administration in recent years which tried to stimulate trend of "capacity building" in our labor force specially the unemployed labor force by promoting the freelancing industry. Despite heavy taxation, PTI also tried to rationalize tariffs for export sector so that dollars can be fetched into the Pakistani economy. Roshan Digital Account and Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar also tried to invite as much foreign capital into economy as possible. No dubious privatizations were executed such as Nawaz era Islamabad Airport and Zardari era Steel mills privatization plans.

I am not an economist but your views at the end of the video are simplistic .... I think it's more like if a person has excess uric acid in blood, I can bring it to normal range by forcefully injecting water in his blood stream .... it might give him a correct reading of uric acid density in blood but now I have other issues to solve .... if you play with the idea the person will explode at the end. But I agree with you that we can play in that space ...... Do we really need money to do anything, if a leader says something and we do it without asking for money in return or agree to work for little money (food/housing) because it serves the nation, yes then the problem is addressable .... I think more exact way to say what you are suggesting is Increase Productivity.

You can also "suck money from the rich" and spend it to increase productivity ..... hence total supply of money is unchanged but overall health of economy has improved. A great way to get dead money out of the society and moving it in productive usage is by "Death Tax" ... you die, government takes 40% of your property .... elite will riot but know that this is what USA does ... it forces everyone to think differently: Will you collect plots that government will take away or give your children skills .... will you hold on to your land and not produce on it or government takes it within a generation and starts industrial farming on it. It changes the mind set ... instead of hoarding money I will go out and watch a good game of local UFC Jahara Phelwans (wow a billion dollar industry created). My diagnosis of Pakistan is that they have become hoarders of wealth and are hence becoming poor ... and we need to unleash the hoarded wealth.

Construct Roads, more railway compartments, school buildings, Delivery Centers for Rural midwifery, Dispensary, Community homes/ collective residences, s (food for work program), Water tanks, community clothes stitching centers, grow more poultry & animal husbandry, small lones to enterpreneur on Bangladeshi pattern, print more currency, decrease military budget. Dr Taimur: There also other issues at hand I sent money (1cr) to buy textile machines as well as 50 lac for textile shop to sell the products produced in factory. But for that we had police bribes and Bhatta We need sincere people to give money for investment We need affordable electricity We political & economic stability

Excellent explanation of Pakistan economic problem. Very well elaborate. Now next step is the solution of the problem. In Pakistan at least more than industrialist groups have the resources to build the economy on its foot. Wants to highlight some of them. 1) Zero hindrances from Establishment/ Political. 2) Excellent Law and order situation 3) unnecessary involvement of civil bureaucracy 4) Some institution listen the grievances and have the capability to resolve and administer the authority. 5) Abolition of every kind of VESTED interest. Pakistan have the resources Monetary/ Technologies/ Human Resources, subject to allow them to work as a Team. Lastly just point one example from Lahore, Where Chief Justice unnecessary closed down one open heart surgery hospital and Liver Transplant projects only and only for his Ego. Elite class can get treatment any where in the world but Sufferers are Poor Pakistani.

Oh an interesting fact along this line. The energy futures market, financial derivatives, predicting the rising gas prices in future, due to the Ukrainian war, are raising the spot prices now in Europe which threatens for example the Germans with possibly no heating this winter. Now this pricing is simply incorporating the market information which is impossible not to be priced. The markets aren't wrong here too, they're just economizing inter-temporally.
