My favorite board game at the moment. Idk if my group sucks but we have had to restart like 3 times but now we've made it to chapter 7 so far. Definitely more Dark souls difficulty than actual Dark souls board game

Probably the only game where I was an early adopter in both backing/supporting the project as well as playing and promoting it and I cannot recommend it highly enough to story campaign loving explorers. Awaken Realms knocks it's games out of the park these days in terms of engaging mechanics, production quality and sheer thematic content. Kudos on the crits and misses btw; they are spot on target.

Not sure what other expansions you’re referring to the expansions won’t be out until end of this year at earliest only other content out now for it is the minis which add nothing to gameplay

Faultyjoe unfortunately it may never be available in the sense you are hoping for. It was a Kickstarter game, and I’m not aware of plans for a retail release, although I hope there will be

Your best chance is finding a person in your area to piggy back off their pledge. You can ask on BGG and I'm sure someone will respond to you.

Try watching gamefound.com/projects/awaken-realms/tainted-grail#/project-overview to see if they unlock the pledge manager for late pledges. Awaken Realms unlocked their pledge managers for Nemesis and Lords of Hellas between the first wave and second wave production. It seems likely that they'll do that for Tainted Grail as well.

@@VaultBoy13 They will unlock it, but only for backers (to add things to pledges). So your only choice is piggy-backing or the vultures of the resell market for now.

Good game but I agree, the time pressure lowers the enjoyment for our group. Fiddly as well, so much to track and easy-to-forget rules. App tracker would be helpful (maybe there is one already).

NPI definitely have their own tastes that are not on-par with many in the hobby, Star Wars: Rebellion for example. I wouldn't take any of their reviews as an objective measure.

It's funny how he addresses the combat mechanic being repetitive and simple "Aside from shallow mechanical differences, they are nearly identical" While praising Gloomhaven's same, draw card, play card, repeat the same play sequence for the next 50 years. His subjective opinions are all over the place, it's hard to figure out which books he read them out from, or just simply suffering from a rapid mood swing depends on the alignment of the stars.
