All of Taiwan is wonderful. I am a white guy that Taiwan adopted and I adopted Taiwan. When I am in Taipei I am so happy I skip down the sidewalk and sing to myself. All of Taiwan is great. I have been there 5 times for up to six months at a time, usually 3 months. I miss the country and the great, friendly people. English is the official second language.

Jiufen/九份 is a famous scenic spot in northern Taiwan, and there are really many tourists! You both are really great, it's hard work to be able to walk above the cloud! Taro ball can be found in almost every part of Taiwan, but Jiufen is the most famous. Many tourists come to Taiwan like to eat taro ball. Taro balls were developed in 1946. Until the 1970s, an aunt sold ice products near Jiufen Elementary School. Due to customer requests, taro balls were added as a condiment. With the promotion of tourism, it became a famous local snack! In fact, only the purple material is taro, and other colors represent different ingredients, such as sweet potato, mung bean, yam, sesame, and matcha! Besides taro balls, Jiufen's "Hakka rice cake" is also very famous! This is another great, beautiful video, thank you very much for sharing! 👍🥰🙏🙌👏

I was there in December, drinking tea and eating dessert in the famous tea house (阿妹茶樓). It was a magical experience. The tea warmed you up in a cold day, and the views were stunning. At that moment, I really felt myself being in Spirited Away.

The taro balls you had, the base is sweet potato starch/flour, and it's supposed to be al dente. The different colors are from the different ingredients mixed in the dough: the grey/light purple one is mashed taro, the orange one sweet potato (the actual root vegetable rather than just the flour), and the green one silvery wormwood. The technique is similar to making gnocchi.

I was there on a 9 hour layover in February 2020 just after all Taiwan flights to/from china were cancelled so there were no tourists. Taiwan was such a surprise.

I climbed up Keelung Mountain 2 weeks ago! After that my legs were sore for 3 days. The weather was nice then and I could see Taipei 101 from the top.

Welcome to Taiwan❤ Taro is the white/purple-ish colour one. Orange is sweet potato, so you were right. I’m not sure what other ones are. You probably will find out that Taiwanese dishes/snacks often have chewy texture (we describe it as ”Q~” texture in Taiwanese) It often has Tapioca flour for the “Q” texture:) Same as boba. Mashed taro+sugar mixed with tapioca! Taro is also a popular ingredient in Taiwan, often sees in desserts. Hope you will try out more during your trip in Taiwan!

Try Taiwanese tea in Taiwan, oolong tea for example. It's pretty different from matcha or japanese style green tea. Personally, I would drink matcha in Japan, not in Taiwan. And in the tea house, you can drink tea in a more traditional way, which is also much different from bubble tea.

Hey you guys, you never cease to amaze! Seems like a good amount of your viewers got you covered on Taro. Purplish color. Taro Boba tea is my favorite. Taro looks like elephant ears (colocasia). Hawaii is a top producer of taro. Poi is fermented taro. You really captured the feeling of being in the clouds in this Vlog.

九份我去過很多次，街道很濕，因為北台灣多雨，來九份記得帶雨傘，雖然我不建議來，我在九份吃的東西沒有比其他夜市好到哪裡去，風景也沒有比花蓮台東漂亮，但如果在北台灣旅遊還是一個不錯的景點另外我用中文是因為這能看出我是台灣人(大陸用簡體、香港會參雜廣東話)，另外中文更能表示我的原意

For delicious food in Taiwan, you can go to the city level at night. Taiwan is called a night market. There are many delicious snacks in every place in Taiwan! If you are worried about the language difference, don't worry, there are many foreign labor friends in Taiwan, you can ask, and it is easy to meet😊

You are in Keelung, you can go to Keelung Miaokou at night, there is a night market, delicious food, and you can take the MRT or train when you are in Taiwan. If you want to go to the central and southern parts of Taiwan, you can take the high-speed rail, which is very fast and convenient. There will always be someone who speaks English when you go to the service center, don't worry, just ask, Taiwanese people are very kind!

normally the pale purple one is made by taro the yellow one is made by sweet potato the green one normally would be made by mugwort. and it is mung been, if you don't feel comfortable to have sweet mung bean, you could ask for one without it. and I would recommend arrive the lookout of a mountain before noon, and you will not have highly chance to get foggy view.

The fry noodles were not with any typical sauces while the chef fried them. Taiwanese style disks are cooked more juicy kind. The chefs will add more water or chicken broth at theirs dishes.

Taro is called “gabi” in the Philippines and we add it to sinigang to make the soup thicker. Some cook the taro leaves in a dish called “laing”.

23:18. Taro is the white one, the yellow one is sweet potato, and the green one is probably matcha. Not sure about the purple one. You know people like colorful plating, and you can try all the flavors in one bowl. One of my favorite desserts : P
