Best of luck to Natalie and Itamar; this has been a really informative program. That said, RTI, this particular guest interview could have used some editing and fact checking. Some real inaccuracies (e.g, "refugee" in international law is applied to people who leave their country, but in 1949-1953 people were evacuating from across provinces) and opinions presented as fact. People eat a variety of delicious foods in Taiwan without politicised bias. Are we to stop eating mantou and shao bing because they are from mainland provinces? What do we do with dishes that are the same in Taiwan as in Fujian and Southeast Asia? Let's not give in to nativist divisions, please.
