We brought back a bunch of Taiwanese snacks with us from our trip to Taiwan last week, and now we're going to try them out. Marinated quail eggs? Pineapple cakes? Tofu shoelaces? What's that all about? We'll try them out for this week's video!

Hahahaha, it's hard to find food in Taiwan that ISN'T good. Pineapple cake is like the iconic pastry of Taiwan, and you guys got Din Tai Fung brand...I didn't even know they made pineapple cakes. The black eggs are called iron eggs, basically braised quail eggs. The ruffles looking chips you guys tried were oyster pancake flavored. The last snack you guys tried was dried braised bean curd. Taste and texture can vary among brands, so you just gotta find one that you like.

Thanks for replying, and again love your vids. It seems like I keep refreshing youtube until a video is uploaded, which does not help with procrastination, anyways, have a good weekend!
@stephkim00
@stephkim00 8 жыл бұрын
Its a day much like valentines day, where you give your friends,family, or s.o, peppero, a stick shaped biscuit, dipped in chocolate, (like pocky) and is on 11/11, as the peppero looks like ones.
@stephkim00
@stephkim00 8 жыл бұрын
Yes, I realise that 11/11 is also remembrance day/veterans day, but that doesn't mean both holidays can't be celebrated.
@stephkim00
@stephkim00 8 жыл бұрын
I guess, I will respect your opinion, especially since I'm not affected by that, although I disagree, since find that there's nothing wrong with it, . But you'd be surprised by how many holidays overlap with each other, I just did a quick google search, and holidays like Easter overlap with Armed Forces Day, in burma, but I don't think you wouldn't celebrate a holiday in your own culture, if it coincides with another cultures, since there are so many different holidays, all throughout the world. Anyways, sorry for the rant, i don't even know what i'm writing makes sense, especially since im just writing it through my phone. But the point is, although I slightly disagree, I can understand where youre coming from. Anyways, .hope you have a nice day/night, and remember it is, or almost is the weekend!
