My sister is a blues singer and started Double Trouble with Stevie. They were first called Triple Threat Review with bassist W.C. Clark. When W.C. Left the band , Stevie and Lou Ann Barton renamed it Double Trouble. Stevie and Lou parted ways in 1980. Stevie was a great guy and a good friend. When Taj came to the forefront i began following him since he was 9.

Gidday from down under. Just letting you know that Taj & his family are moving to Bowling Green in September to further his career. He has just released a song called Crossroads. It is now the # 1 on the blues chart around the world. Just amazing. ✌️

As a youngster he’s Phenomenal. Period . Where he will go from here just boggles the mind , for me at least . Been following his career & progress over 6 years now & am glad to hear the U.S. will be his & his Family’s new home . Cannot wait to see what his future holds . Thanks Taj , Mom & Dad , and Sister Mel, for being the gifts to Music that you all have become . 😎👍

Dad said they'd start in Bowling Green, but end up in Nashville, which is a great choice for Taj. He'll be in great demand.

First time I saw Taj was on a KZfaq video of AGT (Australia's Got Talent). I was so TAKEN by his performance of Purple Rain that I had to look him up & see if this youngster was going places or just someone with a little Talent trying to see where he'd go. I'm getting ready to see him in concert & meet him & his amazing family!! I'll be 56 in November & it's like a child waiting for X-mas to get here I'm that excited!! I wish THE BEST for Taj & his family!! When his mama was pregnant with him, God sprinkled her belly with TALENT, SOLE & PURE GOODNESS!! Can't wait to see this OUTSTANDING young man rock that guitar!!

Australian child prodigy Taj Farrant was known the world over as a fiercely talented guitarist before his tenth birthday. At age nine, he appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where he blew the host’s mind with a jaw-dropping recital of “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” At the time, he’d only been playing guitar for two-and-a-half years! Some have praised him as a reincarnate Stevie Ray Vaughn. He is one of few guitarists of any age that deserves such praise. Although his original foundation was rock he may well be the best young blues guitarist on the planet. This video was from his 2022 tour of the USA and he just did an all blues tour in March 2023.

That is really amazing to me is he's been on tour almost 2 years in u.s. and each show he grows more and more with no signs of leting up its amazing and fun to watch the energy just pours out much like SRV he never seems lost or drys up if that makes sense

You should go check out Taj's new single Crossroads just released the video on KZfaq he is now 14 and he wrote this song and played all instruments on this track absolutely amazing young man I'm a big fan of Taj he is coming on tour again in September and moving to the US

Glad you enjoyed it. We go with science here at UH, and studies have shown strong links between genetics and these unique abilities. But we believe wholeheartedly that to be this good, you need a combination of nature and nurture. Even a person with perfect pitch can't name a note before they've learned the musical scale. It's obvious that Taj has a great family and support system, we're so pleased to see that and watch him grow as a man and gifted player. Thanks for watching! 🤘

He certainly has progressed through the years, for sure. It's amazing that he came from Australia, and tracked down SRV's gravesite. How many people have that kind of dedication to their craft? You commented that he's better than most guitarists you know. I was saying that when he was 9. He is truly gifted. I follow a young girl from China named Yo Yo, and I have followed her since she was 9. You might want to check her out. I think she was 8 in the first video I saw from her, and I can't recall if it was Steve Vai, or Yingwei, I believe it was Yingwie, but she nailed it! At 8! She was playing Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Andy James, Joe Satriani, etc., all before she was 10. Just an amazing talent.

He played with Carlos Santana at The House of Blues when he was 10 and he also played with Rob Thomas and Orianthi. Orianthi was supposed to be the guitar player for Michael Jackson's tour.

He just played at the Byron Bay Blues fest in Australia for 4 days. Each day the audience got larger and larger. Hid dad said he played one day to approximately 15,000 people. He is booked for some big blues festivals in the US, opening a few shows for Buddy Guy and is going to be one of the performers on Joe Bonamassa's blues cruise next year. He's definitely getting recognized for his talent. He's also had 4 #1original songs on the iTunes worldwide blues charts this past year, Crossroads, Cruz, Bad Trip and House Always Wins. He's getting some younger people starting to recognize his talent.

@@UnhingedReactions I look at Guitar effects as a spice meant to be felt without obvious use. Putting multiple effects on top of each other to cover up lacking tone is a beginners choice typically. They go for flare over substance.
