It is a very sacred and atmospheric place where the Gods who created Japan gathered for a meeting. How cold was it in Takachiho gorge during Dec? What time did you get there; and did you have to book the boat in advance?

Hello! Thank you for watching. Miyazaki Prefecture is warm with a high percentage of sunny days even in winter due to its latitude, but Takachiho, perhaps because of its location on a plateau, has cooler temperatures than Miyazaki City. I had to wear a down jacket. In mountainous areas, roads sometimes freeze. It is also advisable to make reservations for boats at Takachiho Gorge. I think it is OK on weekdays, but it is quite crowded on weekends. I wish you a wonderful trip!
