Thank you for this video of a young Taka. I am so glad that he left News because he would have never become the star that he is today. He already had a great voice and was so cute. I love to see him when he was younger.

Truth be told, if Taka remained in J&A, he would not be able to expand to international fans. As of now, NEWS has only 3 members but I have to say that their vocals is one of the best in J&A idols. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eNSAiNNj0Ly-Zn0.html 😊

fact is he didn't leave, he was thrown out for his behavior. That's the time he started drinking and smoking and then his parents confronted him about it and he ran away from home. I think if he stayed in Jpop, he probably would have gone down the wrong road behavior-wise. That experience being practically homeless, working at a restaurant as a sleep-in worker changed his attitude. He was a spoiled rich kid, he said himself that he used to be very cocky as a teen.

u can tell that the producers make them sound and sing a certain way but u can still hear in some parts that he’s just different from everyone else in terms of singing ability and his unique tone 🥰🥰

Taka is still the vocalist out of Johnny's. They really struck gold with him back then. But he really improved a lot when he left.

Wow. This is fascinating for a bunch of reasons. There was a time before NEWS dressed in those baggy, sparkly robes. Not just young Taka, baby Tegoshi is a cutie here. Also NEWS' singing level here seems to be much higher than the other Johnny's groups of the day. Taka and the other two knock that beautiful ballad Arigatou Ima out of the park.

15 yrs old Taka in Jpop was cool to see but, 17 yrs old Taka in Jrock was better and was ready unfold and live out his dreams and tell a tale he wanted to personally tell. Not trying to be biased here because I'm a huge rock fanatic including, I also enjoy other genres just not as much a rock, but the whole point is that Taka being in a rock band he was able to be true to himself and wasn't discourage and force to be what he was not, and his present self and his music resonates with me most to staying true to oneself and to keep on fighting for what you want and love.

to be fair Taka, Hiroki und Hironori left the group quite early, so maybe you're only used to their later formation

This is not TAKA, at some times you hear his voice, that is unique, but the production kill him. He was jailed, reduced to a toy. Thus this is not the Taka we now know.
