Figured I'd just throw the spare racing seat I had lying around into my E36 instead of letting it collect dust. Quick simple install, and body work to address the noticeable rust spots. Enjoy!!
I like where the quality is in this video, kind of learning to take care of the minute details in all my projects but still see past perfection. I found out that striving for perfection is good, but accepting that it might not ever be perfect is also something to keep in mind.

Some Napa locations here in the US are capable of doing custom spray cans in store. They are a bit more than your junk spray paint as they are a true mix of your color. Also Napa here you can get a nice 2 part clear in spray can. It has an activation button on the bottom to mix the clear with hardener.

Hey Birdy! I'm not sure if you have them up in Calgary, but there's a place called NAPA Auto Parts. They will mix ANY paint color code for you, and put it in a spray can. Down here in Ontario, even the dealerships get their paint from them. Good luck!🤞🏾🔥🔥

Should check to see if you got Napa stores that makes paint, you tell them paint code and they make it for you. I know here MN we have a couple places.

Love your channel. Any place that sells automotive paint will custom make an aerosol can of your paint. They can use the paint code, or scan your paint if necessary. Sherman Williams or any other auto body supply store will do this in Nova Scotia. It won’t be perfect because the existing paint is several years old and uv rays have taken their toll but it will be close. Keep up the great content

I know this probably you first time doing body work but you gotta make sure you get all the rust off not only on the front of the panel but the back also. Alot of people forget that and the rust end up eating through to the other side.

Idk if this is helpful but I was thinking maybe just using an actual shaving razor with the handle on it would be easier to shave down the mold. You could buy a whole bag full for super cheap

Birdy if you have paint stores like sherwin Williams, DuPont or any car paint store in canada - you can go to them with the exact paint code of your bmw and they should be able to make it for you and put it in a disposable or refillable spray paint bottle

Try Advance Auto Color & Body Shop Supplies in Calgary for the paint, they were able to make a paint matched aerosol can my STi and Forester.

If you can get the cars paint id code, which for orient blue should be 909 for bmw, a company here in Cali has a paint kit for it, you can do either aerosol or jars. and the whole kit is like $80 usd, and it can just about do half a car! the company is ColorRite.

you should try the milkshake method for the second layer of filler you mix filler with the fiberglass resin and it makes it basicly paintable and sands really nice. I have done it after fiberglassing to get a nice smooth finish that is easy to sand for sub boxes

go to a body shop supply place to get the spray can they can mix it right there, they can sell you the stuff with the hardner in the can so all you do is pop the button on the bottom and shake well, then you have 24 hours to use the can up or it will go hard.

Call your local auto paint supply store. They should be able to mix your color based on the color code and load it into a spray can. It costs me about $15 USD a can where I'm at.

Honestly props to you for actually fixing the rust. It was so bad on my 90 Miata that I just didn’t even try. It’s a lot of work especially when it’s deep. Luckily I just bought a rust free Miata 😂 no rust to fix now lol

Did you spray the primer down before you spray the color? If you can find an auto parts store that mix paint. You should be able to have them make it in a aerosol can, just have to give them the paint code. Hope this helps

Bro just a heads up on your paint. You can go to a paint store and get it made in a can. A lot of the orally auto stores can make it for you to its easy now days to get any color paint you want. Look into it. 👍

There are shops in calgary that can make custom paint aerosol can. All you need to do is give them the color code and they'll make it for you.

In the front change the fender and at the back cut the fender whit rust and use universal fender flares .....is more easy

Im from uk... why dont you just order the actual paint in a tin.. no aero that way youd get it over there easy... just need to put it in a gun then shoot that way?
