Allison 2500 series transmission
This was from the previous video of me cutting grass and moving all the buses
I couldn't get 19 running due to a electrical issue but it's fixed for now

I have always wanted to learn to drive a truck wheter it is for mining or school passengers it must feel very good to drive that school bus.

Reminds me of taking my bus out for runs around town. Same year, different motor and brakes, and was a little sluggish to get up to speed in 1st and 2nd gears but man was it fun. Nice job keeping that bus going. 👍

You got the vt365 ?

@@jthegoat38 yes. VT365 engine rated at 200hp and 520lb-ft of torque, full hydraulic brakes equipped, Allison 2500 transmission and 6.17 gears in the rear end. Bit rough around the edges but overall a good runner.

@@jthegoat38 The VT365 is a good engine, and it runs fantastic, if not a bit troublesome if not kept up on the maintenance. There are a few things to watch out for with the VT365. Blown EGR, dropped compression and blow-by in cylinders are a few that come to mind. And do not use ether on it. Sure it’ll get the engine going in a pinch (such as the winter or a hard start) but long term usage is not advised at all and the engine overall does not like such treatment. I’ve also seen one with a stuck turbocharger that would surge. Regardless it does have some benefits and advantages and it is better overall than the Maxxforce 7 engine that came in later CEs. What exactly were you looking for in terms of a bus?

Too bad they don’t sound like this anymore because IC switched to Cummins. But the Cummins does sound pretty good for what it is.

Nothing wrong with that. He's demonstrating how very well this bus can throttle with such a great sound of an engine. Any reasoning for constant stopping can be for testing purpose or enjoyment of power up.

@@NYCTAFreak500some buses in fact do not take off as well. Cummins ISB’s and B6.7’s definitely doesn’t. It shoves hard off the line but it quickly goes away and struggles with hills at times depending on gearing. At least it’s like that for the CE’s because a 2006 beat mine from a stop once.
