Not nit picking but it's usually good practice to clean the wheel were the bead sits. Clean off corrosion, old bead sealers, rubber, dried lube from mounting e.t.c 😉 Deff love the van mode though. I think mobility is going to be the next big thing in the market. Also, static balancing (centering one weight) instead of one on lip and one sticky inside should be used as LAST resort. It will zero out but Deff won't be balance good. I'm talking from manufacturer training. I'm a manager in this field. Please don't take offense. I'm only trying to help give advice.

Great videos. I subscribed to your channel and started watching them after deciding to get into it. I'm in the process of converting a 7x14 trailer. Some challenges up here will be keeping the air compressor and tire changer from getting too cold in the winter. Questions: -Whats that silver vent-looking snap-on unit on the wall? -What size compressor do you use? -Does the solar keep up well? -Do you do retorques? Seems like it wouldnt be profitable or practical to do it. Thanks in advance

Hello Spencer, thanks for the kind words and perhaps once you have your Van complete I can go and do a video on your setup.Now to answer your questions: Silver vent is actually a magnet for tools. Its really strong and keeps everything from falling. Compresor I think was a 10 gal compressor, but I'll leave a link below of the video where I go over the entire list. Solar, actually worked really well for us. We did have to charge it every night however. We didn't do retorques, we would just make sure that the gun was not too strong to over torque lugs. Is your Pro Master a extended 159 wheel base or regular? Trying to buy one right now.

Did you ever have problems with balancing results, being mobile? Did customers complain, or need rebalancing often?

Yes Balancing was always something that we had issues with, I would need to recalibrate, everytime i would move the van.

Hey Fernando. Great video. i am no competitor by any means as i am from Europe. i am Starting mobile tire changing van this spring and will be working just on my own. Me only. Got the van and compressor andjacks, and inverter , batteries and machines will be bought in few weeks. How do you get it to full time job when you dont have a store full of tires on the top of having a mobile tire changing van please ? it will still be super cool to have it going as extra income but i am dying to get it full time. Everyone i speak to say that it is only a season business when people switching tires from summer to winter spike and then backwards Thanks Fernando.

Hello John, thanks for watching, I think that in order to make this a full time job, you need to have enough saved up to support operation for at least 1 year and of course your cost of living so you are not pressured. Then make a plan on how you plan to gain market share, and focus on doing that. Other than that you can do it by funding in other ways but your risk increases. Hope this helps.

How often do you have to recalibrate your balancer? Does having it your van adversely affect it?

Normally I recalibrate it every 2 tires I do. So quite frequent. This is to ensure that its 100% accurate specially after driving (Slopes can cause a variance)

@@fernando_h_001 problem i see is the quick nut on the balancer has a broken handle on one side. that has to be equal on both sides or you wont be able to balnce correctly

We went with a 30 gallon because of the limited size, but try to go as big as possible, just consider your power usage.

This Mobile van did have a torque wrench, however I would only use it in some occasions. I know that I should be using it more often.

We had solar panel's and rechargeable batteries inside the van. The batteries were charged via an outlet at night.

Is this commercial? Also did you build yourself flipping a truck and found a used sprinter like this for 4000 thinking of doing similar set up and working for myself love the idea of being mobile and. Not afraid to pound the pavement for contracts bigger company's and picking up customers maybe from big names that can't keep up

We didn't build the truck ourselves, however we did buy it from a company and I did a video detailing all the costs and everything on that build.

If you have the right staff yes, however we really struggled with teh staff and couldn't offer that service, but if you have family or a partner you can trust in take care of that shift. then its a good option.

Yes, I agree the builders of the Van just decided to go with this machine not sure if it was preference or just because the space was limited and there were no other machines back in that time. Now there are alot more options!
