Can you imagine the depression and despair the Elephants will have when their beloved rescuer passes? I hope she lives to be at least 100. She should be training others so the Elephants have someone they trust totally after she is gone. Not to be doom and gloom but it's reality. Good to live in reality!

There’s been so many new rescues over the past few months no wonder she’s exhausted. I often wonder if she even sleeps. Her dedication is beyond inspiring and she’s a truly formidable woman. If the planet survives I hope she lives to be 200 years old.She is one of my all-time heroes.

When I walk around, a 10 pound schnauzer follows me. Lek walks around and a multi-ton elephant follows her. Amazing. There is a lot of love and trust in this video. Thank you for sharing.💓🐘

Almost brings tears to my eyes as Lek is loved so tremendously by the elephants, kitties, muppies. (All of Gods beautiful animals) Divine Substance appropriately manifest Lek and the animals all of the support (financially, spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, and lovingly - strength, abundance in all good things, miracles for all) here and now for eternity.

This is beautiful. Lek is an "EARTH ANGEL" for sure. Must add Darrick, her husband, to this title too. He is caring for KAAVAN in Cambodia the 36 year old loneliest elephant in the world. Please google them and see the set up Kaavan has now. Not lonely any more nor in a super small area either. 💞💞💞🙏🏻🙏🏽🙏🏼🙏🏾🙏🏾💖💖🐘🐘🐘🍉🍉

@@animalsareloveandhappiness4505 I've been following Lek and the elephants, dogs, cats, cattle, horses, pigs, birds, rabbits, that she rescues for a number of years. Also Kaavan since his rescue began. Also aware Kaavan just moved into his new forest home about 4 days ago. I keep a spreadsheet of all the elephants at ENP and several that Darrick takes care of. I update it as more information becomes available. I also have selected Gentle Giants as my Amazon Smiles charity. You might want to go to the GG website, select "Other ways to help" scroll to the bottom and there is a link to choose GG so any time you make a purchase using Amazon Smiles a donation is made to the charity. Doesn't cost you anything. You should definitely do it.

Amazing video to show how to get your elephants back in the corral, the humane way i.e.No Hooks!!! No Chain!!! So You walk them with a treat /secret weapon instead🌽🌽🌽🌽. Sweetcorn. Lek works very, very hard. The demands on her must be extraordinary. And she feels responsible for all elephants, not just the ones at the sanctuary. She was heartbroken recently telling us that they couldn't take as many elephants as needed to be free. And for the ones at the sanctuary, she takes a special interest. She got a new mother & baby, and the mother was having trouble lactating. Lek and staff spent countless hours massaging and putting warm compresses on the elephant's teats, even when the elephant was getting upset and tried to kick. But finally, the elephant's milk came in and she can feed her baby. (I know they were giving the baby supplemental formula.) That is dedication! And she looks after the dogs and cats at the sanctuary, too. Tremendous demands on her would naturally tire her out. The heavy rains have made things difficult, too. Hopefully, she'll get to rest soon.

With COVID, not many volunteers have been able to go help. Plus Darrick has been in Cambodia until recently. I think he’s almost back to Lek…he had to quarantine for a week when he got back to Thailand.

The adult male elephants are kept in the 'mens' quarters. When they go into musth they can be quite aggressive: nature's natural behaviour. In the wild the males usual socialise together. There is a video where Lek took us to the male elephant quarters. You will see that she had to be very careful when she did.

Look up recent video about Yin Dee at ENP. (EleFlix KZfaq: Upload dated 10 September 2021). His mum pushed him put of the herd because of his behaviour, but his nanny is not happy. Yin Dee used his tusk on his mother and nanny and went after a young female ellie in the herd. Lek explains more beautifully. 💕🐘🐘

WoW what I’d give to have Fah Mai love me the way she loves Lek. What’s wrong Lek? You hardly smile and in this video you look very put out. Are you mad at your elefriend? So sad, don’t loose sight of what really should matter most. . One dream is another’s nemesis. You need to take a break? You need to lay down the demand for perfection and accept that others help is good enough. If not you’ll drive yourself over the edge. I think it’s beyond clear that she expects things done to her standards but its unrealistic to expect that and act angry or worn down because she must do it all herself otherwise. I may sound critical but it’s simply because I think it’s unfair to put too high of expectations on others and get mad because it doesn’t happen or get mad because she must do it herself otherwise. Those elephants don’t seem to expect things the way Lek does. They just want to be loved and fed.
