This variant feels even more involved than regular Take & Hold, and is definitely more nerve-wracking, holy cow. I wanna see how you fare in endless after a few more runs of practice. Also I wanna see a Girandoni airgun as a 7- or 8-token roll. It was a terror in the 1800's.

The first sosig rifle you saw in game was a trap door rifle, where the chamber is hinged at the top and you have to flip it up every time you shoot it to reload

Is Anton planning on making the levels actually 'themed' like a wild west coal mine instead of the current concrete jungle? Or ww2 trenches!

I wouldn't bet on anything like that. He makes a lot of graphical sacrifices for performance and time reasons. We are getting an outdoors map though! Not going to lie, would be cool if there was some permanent cover or something based on what character you selected, would be a nice touch!

New meta incoming - Ammo slots replaced with extra revolver slots. Just shoot, drop and draw, no need to reload!

This mode is a new favorite. I got lucky with 2 Schofields my first run. Got all the way to the last hold before I was overwhelmed. Got a model 8 after a while too!

the sosig rifle is a springfield trapdoor carbine. A conversion of the springfield into a breech loader, single shot. Used by the US cavalry from about 1870 to 1890 over the Henry Repeater because "we don't want our undisciplined soldiers wasting ammo" which is also why early bolt actions had magazine cut offs, so you could only fire one shot at a time for volley fire, turn off the cut off, then use the magazine for "fire at will" Was eventually replaced (finally) but the Krag Jorgensen

I would say some of the wild west weapons do look fantastic but at the same time may be a little to slow of a reload but the damage dose the job its just very interesting to watch your content jeditobiwan it brings me the light inside me 🇩🇪❤

Stop underestimating the pocket pistol, it'll save your ass in this mode, since it can still take out normal encryptions in one shot.

That's precisely what I was thinking. Especially on limited one-hit, it would be a nice backup for those desperate static and swarm encryptions.

I had a Rift S for years before going to an Index. It felt like going from an '02 Civic to a Lincoln, just night and day difference in quality and much more comfortable. I don't regret buying that Index for a second.

i find it really hard to fan fire with the vive wands because there is a big circle sticking out the front, i think you can get a lot closer with those controllers

How do you stack the rounds in one hand without using another hand to stack it in the hand?

Hold down on the touchpad while moving your hand over the rounds

You can palm extra round by pressing down on the touchpad and moving it South. Then just put the round on top over the other rounds and they will be stacked

Several kinds of movement modes! Flip your wrist over, at the top are several squares with different options. I recommend armswinger!

I'm the options menu your spawn from your wrist menu, there is a quickbelt area. You can switch to the tactical test ,which is what I used

You have to be on the alpha branch of the game. Check the game's properties from Steam and make sure you select the alpha

There are tons of movement options in the options panel, but I just use armswinger.

@@epion660 nope, you hold one of the buttons down to enable armswinger. You can still use the joystick for snap turning if you'd like though

Your mic quality is excellent, which do you use? I'm struggling to find one myself as my regular headset doesn't fit alongside a Vive.

I am actually using the built in Index microphone. Was not expecting it to be so good, but they are a higher quality than the wireless mod mic I picked up in anticipation that I would need a better audio solution. The Antlion Modmic Wireless does work though, I've been using it for my normal gaming and the quality is pretty good. Hope that helps!

Is it easier for you to just waste ammo and reload? I'm not trying to sound like a jackass, and I guess I'm just a spectator telling the gladiator how to do their job, but I'd try to count how many rounds I've fired, especially since this mode makes ammo conservation more apparent.

Depends on what the situation is. Early game it doesn't matter so much, and if I have a ton of extra rounds on me, I'm a bit more careless with it. Also no leaderboards are active yet so I am playing for fun more than anything!

jeditobiwan ah, gotcha, thanks for clarifying. I was a bit confused as to why you were just firing rounds off when all the enemies have been cleared, as the guns in this mode are from the era where guns started being more useful to use, but were meant to be reloaded after you spent all your rounds. Also even though I'm not a VR guy, ammo conservation is something that's engrained into my brain in terms of gaming, and nerf, an I've learned to count the rounds I've fired, but that's just me I guess, my modus operandi is a bit different.

The ammo spawners are also unlimited so I can always go back and get more before the hold + I try to keep it interesting on stream too. When I take it seriously, I'm right with you with ammo conservation.

Not standalone. I believe that you can get it to work with the link cable and a VR capable PC, but I have not tried it.

@@jeditobiwan i didn't bought it, but i will so finally i'll buy an oculus rift. but CAN i play on a computer with an intel core i3 3.60gHz and 8gb ram ddr4? on steam,they say you need (MINIMUM) an i5 4590 and 8 gb of ram. because i don't know what the "4590" mean, and i don't know what is better between a i3 3,60 gHz and a i5 3,60 gHz.

@@wintheking7884 The 4590 is the gen/model of the processor. i3 usually has less physical cores but hyperthreading enabled, where an i5 has more physical cores by not hyperthreading. You should be able to find that information in your "system information" app on your PC.
