I love everything Genius which is great considering I am one! I was on the Mensa World Journal's July 2016 cover and was honored in Michigan's House of Representatives for winning a global election to become the World Genius Directory's 2016 Genius of the Year for America. I'm also autistic with Asperger's Syndrome. These shows mean so much to so many because people with high intellects are often marginalized and mocked in pop culture and to have a series of 10 favorable shows is AWESOME!!! Thank you National Geographic. You're making a difference!

Jeffery Ford, I also have Asperger's syndrome. But probably unlike you, im a one trick pony, I am only a genius in math and physics but rubbish at everything else. I taught myself calculus at age 9 and started working on topology and analytic number theory at age 11 but couldn't understand books or spell until age 14. You're lucky to be a Jack of all trades.

Being a genius of only math and physics makes you a genius at two more things than the average person. You also communicate clearly and well. I know people in the business world who couldn't craft a proper sentence to save their life! It can be tough ... just enjoy being you the best you can and know I truly appreciate hearing from you.

My belief is that those, who think of the concept of genius, and contemplate what is means, effect the concept has on the contemplator and, possibly, the wider environment (By that I mean the earth and all it contains), how to willfully control the 'creative - innovative' part of the human soul etc, ...; is likely to be, himself, a genius! In my opinion, the video is an 'act of genius' by itself - technically, and as well in the message that it sends to those watching. Awsome!

What Einstein meant is that time isn't constant, Time can tick at different speeds depending on your speed and the strength of gravity you experience. There is a way to kind of go into the future, to do that you must travel close to the speed of light or go into an area of strong gravity. What this will do is slow down time for you, meaning that time for everyone else back on earth will be moving much faster . Therefore when you arrive back on earth you wil essentially be on an Earth that is in the future(for you).

That's not what he meant by "illusion". It's rather the fact that human perception of time as a whole is naive and one dimensional.

Harrison Ressler What Einstein is saying is that all three literally exist at the same time. Go on Wikepedia and look up the Lorentz Transformations. If you are seperated in space by large distances and move quickly the equations show that your past or future can exist at the same time as someone else's. The same is true for us looking at someone else. What he's saying is more profound than the other two answers you got about time travel or human perception. He is saying that that all points in time exist at the same time.

Why we remember the past but not the future is actually a mystery, there's no reason it should be this way, but it simply is. It's called the arrow of time, it's also seen in thermodynamics where an ordered system becomes more disordered when energy is present, but it never goes the other way round. The laws of physics are symmetric in nature, meaning that they should still work if you go backwards, but the universe seems to favor only one direction, which is forward.

If a person can see an object in a distance light years away then he/she is actually seeing an object from the past which is a scenery of million+ years ago and he/she doesn't even know if it still existing. Let say there is wormhole and the first gateway is at the person's place which connect to the 2nd gateway at the place of the object light years away therefore the person is basically traveling to the past.

Dos Lah here's what I think the video is about: Time can be viewed in three parts - the past, present, and future. The past is just a collection of memories; we cannot fully remember the past but can only recall it (which is not reliable). Our only experience with the past is in the present. The future is only a mental construct in the present time, so we cannot fully experience the future until it becomes the present; until then it's only a dream. We can dream of what the future may be but it's considerably less accurate than how we remember the past. So now we have present left and it's an ever changing present. Time is an illusion we have created to try and measure the rate of change of the present. It's always NOW, but an ever changing NOW.

Dos Lah Einstein believes sometimes our view of time is very stubborn or one dimensional. So basically the woman had a dream of the future that entailed a complicated relationship with a guy. And before things got out of hand, they were living happily together for 7 years. When she jumped back into the present time she felt uneasy as to what had happened. She then coincidentally stumbles across the same guy and recalls her dream as soon they shook hands. she initially wanted to leave but remembered that in her dream that time is "only an illusion" and so she gives in to the guy and hopes that in the end things will turn out differently. I hope this helps :)
