This song is definitely a favorite of patrons when I perform it live. A lot of people don't really know the verses but man, when the chorus comes along, they belt it! John Denver was a legend in his own right and unfortunately died young. His music lives on though.

I'm Australian but my boyfriends from somewhere random in Georgia and when he took me there the first time and I've like never heard this song before everyone got so offended. And I was there at Christmas right? So anyways when his church came around to his family home carolling instead of a Christmas Song that year they sang Take Me Home Country for me, and already carolling does not happen in Australia so I was pretty overwhelmed. Haven’t listen to your cover in a while. I felt like it a couple of minutes ago. Now a couple of seconds in…I realized how much I missed it 😊 Your strumming pattern is off the chart, I’ve been practicing the same chords and tried to replicate your pattern. Nailed it. He is not. But its Philip, Dwight son! You can say thats impossible because Philip was born in 2012 but in Schrute family you have to grow fast or you die. Same thing like Dwight he resorbed his twin in mother womb and now he has strenght of a grown man and a baby.
