To answer your question, well in my ears, no one's voice is better than Diana's in the world! So for me Diana's rendition was better than the original. However, the original one was also very good.

This week I was at my physical therapy, and my millennial PT asked if I could hear the radio, that one of his favorite songs was playing, and it turned out to be this. I don't think I would ever a prefer any version to the original (it was part of my childhood and youth, and stayed the number one music video on MTV for a LONG time), but this one comes REALLY close! Just fantastic.

That was short and sweet, Diana was 16 years old and she filmed this during COVID lock downs as an exhibition (that is why it is short) for two reasons, the first one was to thank the fans for buying the music equipment she displays on the video (microphone laptop etc.), the second reason was because she wanted to show that her hard efforts to get back her high notes after losing them during puberty payed off. She lost most of her high register as her voice deepened and she was frustrated about it, she worked very hard and we can see her progress, off course today she can go sky high since she never really stopped working and developing. As for the song itself i love both of them, the original is a great dance song with amazing music, Diana's version has been slowed down, has minimal music and she added some vocalizations so you can appreciate her voice more, the only bad thing about it is that (as you have also said) it is a shortened version, i would love it if she ever came back to it and sang the whole song.

This was made during the COVID lockdown period. Diana Ankudinova’s fans bought some home studio equipment for her, and she produced several wonderful videos to encourage her fans during those dark days. Another from this period is “Havana”, which is delightful 😃

I was a kid when the original came out. It is iconic and the video for the Ah-Ha version is part of my childhood, but if I saw the two on my screen I would click on Diana's version to listen to without hesitation. She is such a special singer. She makes every song her own and amazing every single time. Я был ребенком, когда вышел оригинал. Diana's pandemic special. Her voice is crystal clear and her English is impeccable....great tone for this song as well. She was 16, filmed this for her fans during the pandemic lockdowns when nobody could get out. She filmed 3 short songs, the other one is Havana. It's pretty good too...she has fun with that one a bit more. The other cover was a short 'audio only' video of Truce from 21 Pilots.

I love this cover performed by Diana, just super. Here it is incomparable, the best performance in my opinion. Please note, on the Diana Ankudinova Life channel, there are brand new videos from the grandiose Hans Zimmer show held in Moscow, where Diana performed two soundtracks to the films Dune and It's Not Time to Die about James Bond. Look, it's an enchanting sight.
