Lyrics
We've come so far
And we've reached so high
And we've looked each day and night in the eye
And we're still so young
And we hope for more
We've come a long way
But we're not too sure where we've been
We've had success
We've had good times
But remember this
Been on this path of life for so long
Feel I've walked a thousand miles
Sometimes strolled hand in hand with love
Everybody's been there
With danger on my mind I would stand on the line of hope
And I knew I could make it
Once I knew the boundaries I looked into the clouds and saw
My face in the moonlight
Just then I realised what a fool I could be
Just cause I looked so high I don't have to see me
Finding a paradise wasn't easy but still
There's a road going down the other side of this hill
Never forget where you've come here from
Never pretend that it's all real
Someday soon this will all be someone else's dream
This will be someone else's dream
Safe from the arms of disappointment for so long
Feel each day we've come too far
Yet each day seems to make much more
Sure is good to be here
I understand the meaning of I can't explain this feeling now
And it feels so unreal
At night I see the hand that reminds me of the stand that I make
And the fact of reality
Never forget where you've come here from
Never pretend that it's all real
Someday soon this will all be someone else's dream
This will be someone else's dream
We've come so far and we've reached so high
And we've looked each day and night in the eye
And we're still so young and we hope for more
But remember this
We're not invincible
We're not invincible, no
We're only people
We're only people
(we're not invincible)
Hey we're not invincible
We're not invincible
So again I'll tell you
Never forget where you've come here from
Never pretend that it's all real
Someday soon this will all be someone else's dream
This will be someone else's dream
Never, everybody sing, oh baby
Never, no never, never forget for love
Someday, louder, louder, louder, louder loud
Never, everybody sing that song
Never, yeah, louder, louder, louder, louder loud
Someday soon this will all be someone else's dream
This will be someone else's dream
We've come so far and we've reached so high
And we've looked each day and night in the eye
And we're still so young and we hope for more

Growing up as a bloke in the UK during the 90s it was easy and almost expected to write TT off as a bit of eye candy for the ladies and not much else, certainly not anywhere near representing serious musical talent. In hindsight, they were a very decent band and this song is amazing (it gave me goosebumps back then even though I would never have admitted it lol)

Paul McCartney is lauded for having written yesterday when he was only 23. Gary Barlow was only 24 when he wrote this. Most people get to their 40s or 50s before they realise something this profound ❤ The theatre production used in the beautiful world tour added another dimension to this song. Every time I hear this song I picture Charlie Chaplin, Audrey Hepburn and the moon landings. And the we will rock you hand claps - pure genius. ❤

I went to see Take That as a treat for my 60th birthday and I danced all the way through, my husband kept his head down in embarassament, but I love him for the 2 days we had in London. That was 5 years ago on Tuesday of next week. What memories I have of my youth and I have done things I never thought possible. Keep the hope for the future and I hope you have all the amazing memories I have through my life. Keep safe xx

This is the song that British kid's sing on their last day of school at the age of 16, before they go to college and university or try to find a job.. it's a British classic 😀

MrRichy808x I am probably the same age as you are, but at the time that this was first released I wouldn't have ever admitted that I liked a take that song but I think it brings back memories for anyone who was brought up in the UK in the 90's and up until the present day..

So this has been resonating with the last week! Never forget where you came from! Not for a moment! You work hard! You forfeit so much! You're exhausted! Something drives you on! At 60 years old we're eventually about to enjoy the fruits of our labour ! In the last month everything my husband an I have strived for has now come to fruition! The dream is now reality! We deserve all of it now! So dream people! You can achieve! It's just a hard road! Believe me! ❤❤❤❤ You will do it! ❤❤❤

My favorite Take That's song, it has a great depth and humbleness, it came out when they were at the peak and the fans were fierce, I was in the Chilean fans club, it was awesome and very friendly, the girls were so active and loyal, sadly the boys never came here as a band, only in their solo careers and slowly, all the girls started to leave and followed them in new ways, we felt bittersweet, in a way, because we always had the hope of seeing them as they're here on this video... we never had this concert and the paths of life took us away from the selves that chased this dream, yet this song, like no other, makes me go back to my teenager self that sang outloud this song with my older sister, who was a fan too, the girls who had their images covering their bedrooms, we even wrote "Take That" on the fresh cement in the walk outside our house, it still there just like this song, welcoming us to precious memories... sure it's good to be here :') *hugs all the fans from the 90's*.

I'm no Take That fan, although I do genuinely appreciate some of their contributions and undoubted legacy left from my genera - including this. Which is why I'm surprised that the hysteria surrounding this particular track has only attracted 3.something million views ? .... Probably the significance of the track ??

I knew this song is timeless - since 1995, after 23 years - the same impact. The fame of the band is smaller but I remember what happened in this year and years earlier - it was madness. But it was obvious with music like that. Than Robbie left the band. It was like the world was ending. But - the band is still recording - that's the most important thing. And Robbie have His own fame and career. We - the fans - still have all.
