Sadly when you take your emissary flag down it takes off the quest. Well it did for me atleast

Started playing the game two weeks ago, made emissary level 5 two times and was super proud of it, HOWEVER i never realized there is an emissary quest once i hit that milestone, so... Thanks for the help Phuzzy, love your channel!

Been playing for years and I only just learned you get these emissary quests when you get level 5. I thought you just get to 5 sell and that's the game loop... this changes things XD

Supposedly, captain's voyages have more variation in spawn location compared to normal ones. Mixel noticed it with Veils but I think it applies to everything.

from my experience its even better if you still keep putting normal voyages on the table as these can have overlap with emissary quests putting even more chests on every single island. if you do that and in adition clear megs, skeleton ships, captains orders and the occasional treasury , you actually end up getting emissary 5 without finishing your emissary quests, and the new ones will not replace the old ones, and they can even be on the same island. getting 20 chests from 4 islands that get you to level 5 is pretty neat, but getting 20 chests from one small island that gets you to level 5 instantly is even better

For merchants I would leave the level 5 flag up ignore the emissary quest and go over to the devil's roar and start doing cargo runs

Nice. I do the same, except I tend to do the 'jump start' twice to get an extra emissary quest, so you don't have to worry too much about finding skelly ships/megs to get you back to 5

I'm going to have to keep this on my list for Merchant and Souls leveling while getting the most gold out of it

The best way to level up Gold Hoarder Emissary is to do Devil's Roar Vaults. 1 Vault = 1 full flag and it should take 15 - 35ish minutes depending on if solo or not.

This was what i needed, i didn't know you could drop the flag and get the quest loop. Thank you.

For merchant shipwrecks I recommend going to daggertooth to get the route to marauders arch which is very short

I have fallen victim of the enjoyment of battle and betrayal (in a honorable pirate way, not gonna fight someone who literally doesn't wanna fight or doesn't have a emissary 5 or more, plus I'll honestly leave the loot most the time.) I guess my point is ultimately this game is beautiful because you can always play it how you wish. Whatever pace. Whatever way. We are only 5 years into the 10 year plan of this game and I can't phantom the comeback it'll have along with setting a trend for sandbox games like this. In my opinion SoT is the only game that works in the way it does. Thanks for the gold tip. As I said I don't really grab the loot lol. So I'm a bit broke and I haven't been in the mood to pvp after work.

Treasuries and shrines are great when your stuff is in the mermaid statue it is secure no one can steal it from that statue until you claim it on the surface it's like the only way in the game secure your loot where it's unstealable the mermaids will hold it for like 2 hours and I've heard you could jump servers too and not lose it

Actually I think the merchant route between Golden Sand and Dagger Tooth is the easiest. Shorter distance and almost always the same places to check. Plus with the sovereigns selling at Dagger Tooth is easy now.

Can you go to any edge of the map to manipulate the voyage or does it only really work on the northern side for gold hoarders?

I'm actually colorblind so its hard to tell the X from the green or orange in the devils roar so that white X tip really helps

Im curious if this mechanic ( take emisarry put down flag and re-raise ) is worth to do allways i het 5 grade flag or only on this route.

This video also highlights just how badly the company quests need a re-work. Shuffling quests is so immersion-breaking and having no rewarding OOS quests is just such a bummer it makes the game feel incomplete. The worst part is that the quests are often very fun! There is simply not enough reward for doing things like deliveries, ghost ship fleets, etc. Increasing the rewards these quests give would make the game more whole and create new types of pirates to encounter. Right now the top players are those who have figured this stuff out and grinded hard. I WANT to encounter other players doing ghost fleets or deliveries, those can be amazing fights or alliances! but I simply do not see them, ever, because it's not worth anyone's time, and the seas are worse off because of it.

I bet that for merchant it is more worth to repeat the shipment voyage and skip the emissary quest all together. Guaranteed lvl 5 to lower and pair that with buying and selling a single commodity trip every time. But and sell all commodities regardless of location and sell them after hitting 5, before you reraise.

does the a1 then place down voyage thing work for Athena 2?

Phuzzy the Sanctuary Outpost-The Wild Treasure Store lost shipment working backwards. I mean if the origin is The Wild Treasure Store and the des. is Sanctuary Outpost then the key will be at south from Old Faithful Island and the shipwreck will be between Lone Cove and Boulder Cay.

So I'm assuming the best money making is Merchants possibly? Could I get clarification on the loop/setup, I tried this and failed miserably. Do you cycle the Level 25 quests on Sanctuary until you get that exact one, or is it any sunken ship quest route? Bc I did a different jump start quest, got Level 5, and when I claimed the Emissary Quest it was only 2 cargo runs? Those could have you going all over as well no? Would Gold Hoarders theoretically be better because of the map manipulation? T_T

Pretty much only the Gold Hoarders have an emissary quest worth doing. XD

Hey Phuzzy, my friends and i just went and done the Treasury for Order of Souls, collected the loot, placed it into the mermaid, all of us returned to the ship and while swimming to the mermaid that had our loot he just disappeared and the loot chamber was flooded when i returned down upon not finding the mermaid. Anything we did wrong or a bug?

what i personally like doing is i take emissary quest loot to reapers. because then i can put stuff into all 4.

I think it might be better after the first treasury to go to the island that's next to it get off your boat loot a little bit and then wait for the treasury to respawn rather than sailing all the way to the other Treasury

Regarding Merchant Alliance you said do the same thing again. Why do we need Emissary Quest then? And what is an Emissary Quest for Merchant Alliance? Thank you for such a great video :)

The only thing that would have improved the video would have been a graphic at the end about how much you made at each point. You did it audibly in the Gold Hoarder bit, but there was no mention of how much gold for the other two factions.

now in season 9 you just need the two treasuries, since the trident now helps with order of souls

Yeah. I see when a sea bear was playing too often this game when he can tell which island it is from the first part. Scary as it also happened to me, but lately I am not playing that often. (I caught up with Division 2 and little bit of Overwatch)

Seems like that merchant route does not appear anymore or I'm extremely unlucky. Been opening level 25 captained voyages for ship searches and commodidities on small post on left side as well as Sanctuary outpost, did not get that route in 50 tries

Did they lower the amount for a level 5 flag and also lower the amount of emissary rep you get when you do emissary quest im not get a full five, i might be doing something wrong

If you are purely trying to make money, going for repeated merchant Lost Cargo missions is probably still better than looping the merchant emissary quests. I still did those for commendations, but have maxed those by now. Order of Souls really needs a fresh voyage, the current ones are much worse in comparison to good voyages from the other factions. Something they could implement is some kind of Skeleton Crypt voyage, where you gather clues much like the Vault voyages, but at the end there's a big Skeleton Captain Crypt with traps and such where you have to kill an army of Skeleton Captains for a nice big pile of skulls. Those Crypts could be implemented underground on existing islands without disturbing the surface terrain too much.
