Great video as always Spur... I had a runaway once before finding this video. :) Cajon pass is also used by aircraft to get into the basin and was a challenge to get into Ontario without being too high and fast. Many a go around as ATC keeps you high close to the airport due to terrain and sometimes traffic. The key was to slow to 210 at 13000 before base leg and then add flaps early slowing down and gear down early in the 737 as you are only 20 miles from the airport.. In the B737 you can either slow down or go down you can't do both.. LOL! Always a fun challenge.

My wife gets mad at me whenever I talk about trains. I've been considering having her attempt the downhill grade here at Summit in Run 8 to see if it gives her a new perspective on things. Can't wait to see her face when she ends up in the dirt.

Really enjoyed this one Spur you did it like a pro. If you never read the Duffy St accident report check it out and you can see what happens when you don't have enough dynamics. Among other fatal mistakes in that accident. Virtual Railfan has a Cajon Pass cam where you catch BNSF intermodal trains. 👍👍👍

I know you kept calling it San Bernardino but that kind of looks like Barstow yard. Am I wrong?
