In this video Tim Humble talks about the virtue of Dhul Hijjah and why these 10 days are so important.
You should be taking advantage of the reward of these 10 days by fasting, performing good deeds day and night, donating to charity, sacrificing an animal if able to do so, being kind to parents and people in general, reading and listening to the Quran, making dua & remembering Allah by doing tasbi.
You should also be doing more good deeds then you normally do, imagine this as the same as the last 10 days of Ramadan.

GoonerLDN It depends on where you are staying leaving India/Pakistan/Bangladesh then fast begins from Monday till next Tuesday but for rest of the world it began from Sunday till Monday. Hope this helped

May Allah bless you and reward you tremendously. Inshallah the day of Arafat will be on Saturday August 10. I won't be able to fast all the 9 days but inshallah I will make sure to fast the day of Arafat and at least Monday and Thursday of the first ten days of dhul hijjah. May Allah forgive us and reward us for our efforts in this sacred and blessed month. Salam sister.

Salaam, Why call someone who doesn't know about islam to make an animation for islam? Jihad is not what he represented, Jihad is the struggle in the sake of Allah defending the opressed not being the opressor, and performing more good deeds giving a poor man to eat while you are starving yourself is Jihad... So do you agree and allow as a muslim that something concerns the religion of Allah to be falsly represented...and we don't have symbols in islam, stop using the crescent it's in budhism. For thos reasons islam is against images, You must change the animation for this video into something more relevant or just put nothing and leave it full audio. Peace !

I would consider using different images to depict what jihad is. Jihad also means abstinence/ "spiritual struggle within yourself to stop breaking religious and moral laws" and has in fact a broader meaning: so, for example, it is jihad when we fast in Ramadan; refraining from eating haram foods, not drinking alcohol, wearing hijab, and so on; all for the sake of Allah. It'll be very easy for someone to misconstrue the true meaning of jihad and associate it with terrorism and violence only, especially with these pictures, which isn't what Islam advocates.

That type of jihad is the jihad you get the most reward from so they were wondering if these 10 days are more powerful than the jihad of fighting in war. The video is talking about Military Jihad, it's the greatest Jihad after speaking truthfully to a tyrant ruler. If you leave this type of Jihad, the Zionists will invade all the Muslims Lands and will oppress the muslims. Hence Allah is giving us rights to defend ourselves :) Peace be upon you

Great job. However, I disagree with some the samples that are used in this video, such as the half-moon and star sample, which is mistakenly associated with Islam, while Islam has no sample. Also, the way Jihad was animated, which is not what this word means. And finally, the sample of fasting when we see bread, water, and segregate, while segregate is not allowed to have whether you're fasting or not.

Images are not appropriate. 1: jihad and 2: kurbani of goat guy was so happy . Don't follow such content which does't work on there context much. Small small miss conduct will add up over looking major sign : facial representation with smile at kurbani and jihad is shown with respect to western media opresed on week is tht muslim laying down under feet of armed forces some time it is not clear so better not to use such image which create side track of doing good context : before publishing please have a words with 3 to 4 ulema or Moulana . When you are sacrificing an animal there are conditions of taking care of it before and stuff.. so mostly it causes pain to sacrifice the animal, hence the word SACRIFICE... Smiling and laughing is such a wrong portrayal

I think the author did not suggest that Muslims should oppress people but rather stand up against oppression, though some of the imagery was stereotypical. Jihad isn't about violence
