On those sealed compressors, scratch the smaller "arm" that is painted black, or hit them with a magnet. A lot of times they are just painted copper and you can snap them off easy.

Along with the pots & pans from the set. She always had the most delicious home made from scratch cakes covered with hers😍. They're Perfect for 3/4 layer cakes. Easy $10 at flea market. What a shame.... Sometimes Your too fast to scrape before You know what You Really have in hand.😕 Research more Boo😜 Happy You're enjoying the Ole scrap yard again.

CHER WARING I gasp too, when he axed off the wood handle. He could have picked up 3 to 5 bucks instead of the .50 aluminum. The vintage webbed chair could have been 5 to 10 bucks here in the Portland area. Vintage is hot here.

@@kimmaddalena5493 Those aluminum folding chairs can be re-webbed, they still sell webbing for them and it's easy. Make it good as new. It's a classic design that really has not been improved on. We used to have ones like that to take camping. They folded down to a very slim size. Still useful for tailgating, etc.

When I got married 29 years ago and my wife and I rented part of a duplex I used a rotary mower that I picked up at a yard sale. Though it took me a while longer than a power mower would have I have to admit I got a weekly workout with that thing. It's good to see you and Salsa are doing well. Enjoyed the little nostalgia trip and so keep on scrappen and pickin.

I made a good find last week, some brass ends on piping, I cut them all off and made around $12 just on that stop alone. Also found a nice metal wine rack that I sold for $25 at the flea market on Sunday. Not a lot of people yet, but they were buying, especially old tools and parts :)

One of my sisters picked up an old mower like that when she lived in a condo. My father sharpened it up for her and her yard was only like 3feet by 8 ft and it saved like 40 a month. She and a few of her neighbors used it for years to cut thier grass, when she moved out she gave it to a female neighbor so it could continue there besides it wouldn't have been too much good on over an acre.
@johnharr97074 жыл бұрын
Yeah all that for $27.??????? Well guess what? Prices use to be higher, and they will again. But this is what we do with precious metals and steel. Sometimes it pays better, sometimes it's lower. Try putting that info on Craigslist or a local app, FB marketplace or Next Door. Some scrapper in your area should be watching the sites...scrappers are everywhere. My neighborhood has a veteran that comes asking when I have a hot water heater or appliance workers at the house. They will find you if you make it known. Sometimes the garbage men have their contact info too. Or if you call a scrap yard they might give your info to a local scrapper. Good luck.
